Wow. I never thought I would agree with JFE, but I don't like the way Glenn was treated either. He was ready to sign, then Jerry let him go? Basically, Jerry screwed Glenn. I know it's business, but I don't like it.

As far as the Boldin rumor, hmmmmmmm.

How do you know that's how it went down?

And how do you know that the Cowboy doctors didn't have something to say about this-- Something like Terry Glenn was not going to be able to contribute much, if at all this year?

Yeah and jerry stood by him all off season. The guy was screwed. We are a loyal group of fans and appreciated what he did for us. I don't think any of us wanted it to end like this.

Jones just cant win with you people no matter what he does

You bash him for this move, blast him for that move

did any of you actually LISTEN or READ about what was going on with this? Jones supposedly wanted to keep him, but was being advised by other team officials to let Glenn go. First you say Jones makes bad decisions, then you bash him for listening to others.

Holy freaking crap people

It's the part about Glenn REPORTEDLY being ready to sign, but that's when Jerry decides to cut him. If that's how it went down, I don't like it. And I have never been a Jerry basher.

Well it depends on what happens, obviously. If Terry goes somewhere else and is productive, Jerry will look very stupid. If his knee is truly shot, then this release was inevitable anyway.

But I wouldn't be sure Terry is finished just yet.

I think you under estimate how many of us stand behind him and appreciate jerry. You are listening to the minority because they are being louder. I don't think that glenn should have been treated that way. I still stand with jerry on the whole though.

oh well...if it does good for Glenn

after what I saw at the end of last season I'd say him going elsewhere and being highly productive is extremely doubtful...and nobody knew more about his medical conditions than our team docs

and once again, Jerry supposedly was advised to get rid of Glenn

also guys if you read what dmn said, dallas morning news, the cowboys could bring glenn back

i think what the cowboys are trying to do, first reports were that glenn signed, then glenn said espn reports were false, that glenn said he didnt sign

now if he didnt, jerry is giving him a chance then to go to another team and sign, when terry glenn sees he cant pass a physical, or get the money that he was due this year without the waiver, then terry glenn might come to his senses and sign

either way, dmn said, the cowboys left the door open for glenn to come back if something didnt happen for him later,

so in reality, both are right, terry for wanting to be paid, and if he gets hurt, to be compensated

and jerry jones for wanting to protect himself and the team, that 1 million after waiving him, i think is what the cowboys save, then that much money could be used to get a vet later in the year if need be

and jerry jones has spent a ton of money on assistant coaches, newman, barber, T O, romo, davis, and hamlin, etc, so give Jerry Jones credit for trying to save alittle money.

say something happened to glenn and he was lost for year, and something happened to T O, then Jerry wouldnt have a star wr to stretch the defense, etc,

so give jerry jones some credit and terry glenn, right now things coudnt work out, maybe later,

Last year towards the end of the year Jerry was going on and on about how great Terry looked out on the practice field and how he was going to be an impact in the playoffs. He specifically called him "the quickest player on the field".

Then after the draft, Jerry defended his choice not to draft a WR by stating that he thought Terry Glenn was going to be a real impact this season, and that no WR in the draft provided as good of an opportunity to make an impact in 2008 as Terry Glenn did.

If Terry's knee was really so shot all along that he wasn't even worth a camp invite, Jerry has been doing a lot of boldfaced lying to his loyal fans and customers.

Terry is a great receiver and wish him well. It's really too
bad but Jerry paid him alot last year and well i can't blame the
man for being reluctant a second year with having his doubts.
I'm sure he has all the medical evaluations and well maybe Terry
waited too long.

True.

This place needs to become the "Bengal's Zone" so we have the opportunity to root for a good organization.

Just doing the old NFL owner/GM schizo struggle. Jerry is a good guy and wants to win. Most of his big mistakes are in the past. I think they just decided to win without Glenn and build for the future.

It says reams about how they feel about Hurd, Stanback, Austin and maybe others we haven't heard so much about. But it is not the pretty side of football is it.

I didn't come away with that from what he said but then I'm not into sarcasm so much.
