Jerry won as an owner. He's failed miserably as a GM.

I don't get your example. It doesn't seem to be an accurate correlation.

Because it's all about personal achievement to him, the team means nothing if it doesn't feed his ego.

His hunger for a title is because he's never tasted his own and that's a strong hunger pang, makes one do stupid things to get fed.
