Agent wants 50 million a year. Micah agreed to around 45 with Jerry. Agent tells Micah to renege and only deal with him there. That’s probably the most likely scenario. And I’m on Jerry’s side. The agent is actively trying to prevent the Cowboys from winning by asking for an astronomical figure for a top 5 DE. He doesnt deserve 50 million a year.

Micah is the 4th or 5th best pass rusher in the league. He isnt great against the run.

He was offered a big contract, more than he deserves based on merit, agreed to it and then his agent came in and bungled it. I don’t feel sorry for him.

Even if they shook on it, the agreement still has to be sent over to the agent for review. The Cowboys never sent over an agreement. It is painfully obvious in how Jerry is campaigning about it to the media.

Don’t know if true or not but considering he used the word wanted, it would seem the agent may not have looked at the contract. Additionally, the response from his agent said he didn’t tell Jerry to stick it up his azz. But he did not dispute that there was an attempt to send him the contract.

What Jerry is saying is completely worthless. Don’t believe me, believe what the current NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement says.

Under the current CBA, a club can only negotiate with the player's NFL certified agent, who in this case is David Mulgaletta. Violating this rule can result in the disapproval of any resulting contract or offer sheet. That is a fact.

So even if Jerry and Micah had some private “handshake deal” as Jerry intimates, it’s completely invalid. By the NFL’s operating CBA.

Jerry is saying this to win in the court of public opinion. He knows what he is saying is not valid. But he also knows a lot of fans will fall for it.

My discrepancy with the way it is being described is that normally when a player has an agent the team negotiates with him or her. Once terms are stated, the contract is emailed over and then the player and agent review it together.

So, maybe they sent it over via email and David said screw you via email response or on the phone (although we already know Jerry has not spoken to him because he said he hasn't). Again, if it was sent over it is easy to prove. All the media needs to do is ask Jerry directly if the agreement was sent and rejected. That would clarify everything.

But, either no one has asked or Jerry has failed to say that.
