Jerry and Irvin on Parsons contract

Possibly, but doesn't sound like MP's agent made a counter either. Jerry would be a fool to negotiate with himself.
Reading the tea leaves of Micah's statement, it sounds like his agent did. The whole scenario went something like this:

-Jerry talks numbers with Micah earlier in the year, throws some figures out that Micah indicates would be pleasing to him.
-Jerry runs those same figures by his agent who says no, not exactly.
-Jerry gets pissed because he thought it was a done deal and now is ignoring the agent and waiting to see if they'll cave and accept his original offer.

If Jerry is telling the truth....this might be another case of this same agent causing issues.

Sounds like Jerry is dug in on this

Offer made to Micah that would have made him the highest non QB player in the league. They had amount, years and guaranteed money agreed upon. Sent to his agent to go over and get signed. Agent says they can stick it up their $@$ and we are gonna negotiate all those again.

Jerry says that the years, amount and guarantees aren't gonna change. He feels these have already been agreed on.

Says he can same route as Dak and play out contract and then play on tag if he wants.

You see what Jerry is doing here? He is claiming he made a great offer to Micah back in March. But that is not the problem. The problem is, it is mid-August and Jerry refuses to call Micah's agent and make the same offer. It's Jerry telling us half the story. At the same time, we have no idea what he offered Micah. He leaves us with the impression it was a huge amount of money but we don't have any of the details.

If Jerry feels his offer was so great, why not pick up the phone and call Micah's agent and make the same offer? He won't because he was trying to exclude the agent from the process. Micah called him out on it and Jerry feels slighted.

If ( and that's a big if) what Jerry said in the interview is correct, he made that offer to the agent and he said no. The agent said that he could start negotiations over with him on everything.

Why would you call back and present the same offer? To me, if this is how it played out, then the reasonable thing would be that the agent reviews what the terms were that Micah and Jerry agreed to and counter if there was something he didn't like in it.

Once again, two egos here, where neither one appears willing to give in.

This is probably spot on, or very close to the truth. It's the way the agent did it that angered Jerry. I get the impression the agent dismissed Jerry entirely. Like him or not, Jerry is not going to like being treated like he's insignificant. I can tell just by what Jerry said to Irvin.

Blue lable and Cocain having a serious conversation?

Happy watching to everybody who has too much lifetime so he has to throw it away.

Unfortunately that has no meaning without an agent.

You’re clearly taking Jethro’s defense on this and apparently not in favor of resigning our greatest generational talent which will require Market Price.

I guess you believe He’s getting tough or something. This is the new Jethro. Most of the world is ridiculing him. Good luck with all of that Reid.
most of the world??? most of your world. The FACT is, Micah has no leverage. Everyone always blasts Jerry for caving... now people are blasting him for not caving. Make up your mind.

All this from Jerry, will Micah have a response for it ?? Maybe it's something short, maybe it's a 3 page note on Twitter, maybe it's on the podcast!! What's your pick

Jethro loses either way on this one . He’s either going to overpay or lose a generational talent.

Curious who you are following or in your world that is claiming Jethro is winning on this? Or are you on your own island.

Im blasting him for making this a circus any real GM would have handled this already without an SAS, Irvin, Fox news tour...give his agent your terms, if he doesnt sign it give his agent your trade terms THEN contact the media so they can report on the result...like every other Franchise.

Paying top talent Market Price is part of the game. The smart owners anty up earlier on which usually saves some coin and drama which can be detrimental to the team and culture.

If the talent isn’t in the future or mgmt doesn’t feel they are worth it or can’t afford them they deal the player before it reaches this point.

It’s obvious our ownership wants him. They just are trying to play the public perception that the player is holding them ransom.

But with a talent like Parsons it’s not going to work. If anything it will run him off. And we will lose one of our most if not most talented players for who knows what we might receive in return.

In the meantime it limits whatever success we could have now while disrupting team chemistry.
Horrible mgmt. !!!!

At this point, with Jerry spewing venom, I’d be surprised if Micah doesn’t come out blasting

He’s been quiet for over three weeks except for the removal of cowboy stuff from his social media

Meanwhile, Jerry has three interviews in 24 hours, three last week and Stephen and even Charlotte have been chirping.

At some point, it’s unreasonable to expect him to not defend himself.

How has Jerry been trashing Micah?

Maybe the agent indirectly, yes, but I haven't heard him spewing venom about Micah himself.

How come Washington hasnt traded Terry? How come the Bengals havent traded Hendrickson? Wouldnt every "Real," GM have done as you stated? Get the deal signed or trade them already?

Damn did i miss the Wash GM's media tour? or the Bengals isnt he the owner also? I may be crazy but both of those "Real" GM's been to the Championship game in this decade or the last 3.....you want to roll with "Poor Jerry" go ahead but dont make stuff up...no other GM itreats his franchise as his personal media service. News flash there can be negotiations even ones that result in a trade without the Owner going to the media and slinging mud at his own players.

I just was asking how come Washington and The Bengas REAL GMs havent traded or signed their players.. because after all, thats what real GMs would have done already.
