Yes the team is in disarray .. Yes he is the GM / owner who is responsible for that but I don't think him being or not being at the oscars on a Sunday night in the off season when the new NFL league season hasn't even started yet will have any bearing on whether this team improves overnight .. But that's just my opinion

This is the problem, if he's going to be a GM the he should do his research, immerse himself in the process similar to a scout not to mention free agency is getting ready to start. You say he's hired people to do that work but if he's going to be the tie breaker then he should be focused on player evaluation because GMs season has already begun.

If he was totally detached from the player acquisition process I wouldn't have a problem at all with him being anywhere he wants but he's not.

So Jerry should not surface for free time until you and all the other naysayers are satisfied with his commitment? None of us have any idea the amount of effort he puts in. Regardless of the results, I would not question his effort.

For the record I am not in any way defending the way Jerry runs the team. Just because you spend a lot of time doing something does not mean you are doing it right and or will get better.

I think people are upset that he's showing his face all over the place when his fans are suffering. It's like he doesn't care as long as he has his wonderful life. Personally, I could care less. In my opinion, his a winner when it comes to financial success, and a loser at everything else career-wise.

I know. I guess what that really means is that as much as I criticize Jerry Jones, at least he has the good sense to be seen in public with his wife rather than one of the hot young girls he could be seen with. Wow. Can you imagine the media storm and scandal if he was there with one of the cheerleaders? He must be saving that for when the Cowboys are really irrelevant.
