And if he was studying game film on college players for the draft, you would, and others be complaining. Why is he doing that, he should be at the Oscars and letting the coaches study the film.

I agree. It's not a big deal. And, if you look at it from Jerry's perspective, it's good business. Hobnob with a few celebrities, invite them to your personal suite during a Dallas game. Have the cameras pan the box to see who the latest celebrity is. DGet the message out that Jerry World is a "happening" place. Attract more stadium-goers who think they'll see players AND movie stars if they attend a Cowboys game.

Jerry may be an awful GM, but he is one of the best if not the best marketer in the NFL.

Have you ever been around a groupie? Have you seen how irrational they are? I have. They are annoying, obnoxious but hopeful and persistent.
I had a guy I went to school with who was obessessed with Chaka Khan. He would attend all her concerts, find out where she was performing, where she was staying (hotel) etc. He ended up being one of her No. 1 fans.
I don't understand the mentality, but groupies are a different breed. And you can be an average fan and be a groupie.

The man is mega-rich. He can go where he wants to. And if wife says, "Honey, I want to go to the Oscars," Jerry makes a call, get some tickets, and it's hello Oscars.

Dude just FYI - Im in the business and you don't get a ticket to the Oscars for an "upcoming movie" and the fact it's a movie about the NFL draft would put you way down the list in Hollywood - they could care less.

This is all about a 'look at me night' of narcissists which makes perfect sense why Jerry is there.

If Kevin Colbert were at the Grammys then the Steeler's fans would be pissed, why, because he makes the decision to draft the player given the input from scouts and others but also with his own research and experience.

If they are going to use arbitrary numbers then Jerry has 3 rings as well and he got them first.

Because all of these guys are going 24/7 and doing nothing else in their lives. One night out of a week is not going to determine a damn thing. Fact is you would complain no matter what jerry was doing.

No one needs to work that much to get ready for the draft. There are only 200+ guys drafted and the process starts a year ahead of time. If anyone is working on the draft 24/7 they will run out of work to do in about 3 weeks.

I'm a writer Theebs but in between contractual writing gigs I'm an audience coordinator on Price Is Right and Let's Make A Deal - I'm very fortunate great environments and fun jobs and I have to say Drew Carey and Wayne Brady are phenomenal people. Feel bad for Drew he loves the Browns as much as we love the Cowboys - can you imagine?
