yup both sides started off on the wrong foot. Now Tank needs to fire his agent and get realistic. Sign his tender, fix the shoulder in good faith..GET PAID. He thinks he is getting paid based off what he did..not what he WILL do. He couldn't be more wrong. The NFL doesn't work like that.
More importantly..

I think Jerry the GM is acting like a concerned GM.

He deserves a back slap for this statement.

Its a two way street ! Not saying I like it - but I sure as hell understand it.
They were OK with him playing with a bum shoulder last year when they said "prove it" on the franchise tag. And he did. Its been reported he has had the torn labrum for 2 years. Now that they have pushed him off, and have to pay more than they expected, now its a problem.
As a player, he knows ownership has the upper-hand in 90% of negotiations. So …. he's trying to hold the one card he has.
I don't like it, but I feel most of the blame for this lies with ownership.
I do not want him traded. I would like his contract done, and his shoulder fixed.
You cant tell him to play thru it and prove your worth a big contract, then he does and now its a problem.
Stop waiting for someone to blink, just get the bloody thing done !

Top 5 performance of all time in my opinion. I'm still afraid of DDL.

Funny, how y'all want to tell a man what to do with his body and money, especially, when he makes more in a week than most do in a year.

Anyway, Jerry n Stephen made a promise their not honoring. Haggling over the surgery is nonsense when if they had kept they word the surgery would be done. Dak, Zeke, Byron, Amari n Jaylon are taking notes... it's not just about DLaw. It's about integrity.

What promise did Jerry and Steven make they are not honoring?

When did they promise to pay DLaw with one working arm $100 million?

I am aware of no such promise made to DLaw, now if you have a link where they promised that I would really like to see it.

This is the 1st time I've seen a Player use His own questionable health as a leverage tool, interesting tactical ploy.

Well DLaw is not exactly making smart decision here. I mean, with a $100 million dollar contract on the line why is he refusing to have surgery on his arm?

If he was smart, he would have had surgery the day after the Ram's loss. But no, he apparently thinks walking into Jerry's office with one working arm and asking for $100 million is the better option.

Like I said, he is not exactly making smart business decisions right now.
Well it could be DLAW has already decided he wants off this team, and doesnt want to be traded.
He may just wait it out and become FA and then get shoulder fixed, and then sign with another team of his choosing.
He has millions left over from last year and a year off might be what he wants.

To me this seems like he doesnt want to play this year, and he wants to get away from the jones boys, far away!
Like I said in another post, players are usually offended by the first tag. It rarely works out with that player later
signed by team that tagged him.

He may be asking for what he knows they wont pay, and keep the injury thing going, so maybe they wont tag him while he is hurt.
I dont think any player has been tagged while he was hurt and cant play.
So not fixing the shoulder could help him avoid the tag and get away from jones boys!

Do you just play computer commando tough guy and rip on people? I miss the days when people mouthed off they had to do it to your face and then you decided whether or not to knock their teeth down their throat. That kept things simple.
When men were men. My cell phone was broken recently and I'm loving not having it. Funny how we survived without them all those years.

Your posts serve as a lesson to children who don't want to work hard and study in school. Dropout 101. Only a life of failure after failure could lead to such unhappiness.

Good Lord what are you babbling on about?

You should quit posting because every time you do you make an *** of yourself:

Nonsurgical treatment
Labral tears are often treated with rest, over-the-counter medications, and physical therapy.
As far as him being a professional athlete, he need his surgically repaired. Torn labrums stay torn unless surgically repaired. Yep. I Googled it.

Oh I think hes making a poor choice by not getting surgery. I also think Stephen has sent a bad message to guys inside and outside of the organization dont come here for any money

Let me get this straight: players won’t accept our offers (of money) because we don’t pay money?

Has being frugal hurt the Patriots at all?

I think Tank wanted a big deal, then rest the whole season...What other reason not to get the shoulder fixed..

If Tank gets traded:
1. Who becomes the emotional leader on the team, Witten?
2. It would be the New England thing to do
3. What type of message would it send to the current players?

1. Who says Tank is a leader?
2. Note how that strategy has worked for them.
3. Don't ask to be made the highest paid player at your position while refusing to get your body repaired. It's a dumb strategy.

Which is exactly what he isn't doing. He's going to hold off on his own surgery until he gets a long term deal, really? The Cowboys don't exist to secure the future of DLaw. If the Cowboys pulled the tag what would he do then? He'd have to get the surgery.

But Tank feels disrespected.

It's a bad situation no matter how you look at it if he's going to maintain his stance. In hindsight I think Dallas should have secured Quinn. That might have sent a message. If not, pull the tag.
Your editing skills are admirable. Duly noted.
