I think the message sent if you want to get paid
Get yourself ready to play
I want Tank to stay but he’s drug out the shoulder and I honestly don’t get why
It’s simple surgery and he’s gonna get paid but he has to be physically able to play if he wants to get paid by any team
Think of his options
Sit out, lose 20 million dollars
He only has 3 option
Sign the tag
Sign a deal
Stay home and lose 20 million

Oh I think hes making a poor choice by not getting surgery. I also think Stephen has sent a bad message to guys inside and outside of the organization dont come here for any money

That’s a knee jerk reaction from a typical fan. I don’t like the back and forth going on either but your take is just a juvenile mouth breather take.
I know you don't like a lot of people on here but what did he say that was "juvenile"? The team above the player is a reasonable take.

Do you just play computer commando tough guy and rip on people? I miss the days when people mouthed off they had to do it to your face and then you decided whether or not to knock their teeth down their throat. That kept things simple.

He's got a torn labrum. You don't fix a torn labrum back to 100% with rest and rehab.
You should quit posting because every time you do you make an *** of yourself:

Nonsurgical treatment
Labral tears are often treated with rest, over-the-counter medications, and physical therapy.

I just speak the truth. You obviously can’t handle the truth. Tough ****.

You want to sell yourself on a market, you make yourself as marketable as possible.

Which is exactly what he isn't doing. He's going to hold off on his own surgery until he gets a long term deal, really? The Cowboys don't exist to secure the future of DLaw. If the Cowboys pulled the tag what would he do then? He'd have to get the surgery.

Translation: Have the surgery if you want to get paid.....it works both ways.

But Tank feels disrespected.

The whole situation sucks. I'd trade him if we could but no one is going to do that without the shoulder situation being resolved. Would have to take pennies on the dollar for a good player. I don't like players holding the franchise hostage.

It's a bad situation no matter how you look at it if he's going to maintain his stance. In hindsight I think Dallas should have secured Quinn. That might have sent a message. If not, pull the tag.

BTW, I don't think Jerry has the stones to trade him.

Now that Jerry has established he might be damaged goods his value has declined. Plus Jerry has boxed himself in. That also will impact the return. Classic Jerry.

I'd be happy for us to trade him. I think that DLaw could fetch us quite a nice set of draft picks. This is a draft where I think that we can replace him through a 1st round pick.

DLaw has a torn labrum which severely restricts movement of his arm.

He needs to have surgery to fix it, but he doesn't want to have the surgery until he signs a new long term contract.

Jerry aint playing that, if he is going to dish out top 5 money then he wants a player in tip top physical shape, which DLaw is not. See above.

Bottom line...……..Jerry aint doing a long term deal until DLaw gets his shoulder operated on...…...that's the big takeaway message here.
Actually, that's good news that the FO is making a stand on this.......sounds like the ball is in DLaw's court......waiting only hurts him.

Well DLaw is not exactly making smart decision here. I mean, with a $100 million dollar contract on the line why is he refusing to have surgery on his arm?

If he was smart, he would have had surgery the day after the Ram's loss. But no, he apparently thinks walking into Jerry's office with one working arm and asking for $100 million is the better option.

Like I said, he is not exactly making smart business decisions right now.

Why? Because it gives him leverage. He can’t be traded with a shoulder that needs surgery. That means Dallas has one choice and that is to meet his demands or risk him holding out. You never do anything the other side wants during a negotiation. You wait for the ink to dry on the deal and then you do what they want.
