I wouldn't be mad at this signing. A lot of us are going with the idea that we need to upgrade the WR room. I also wouldn't expect much from Odell this year and would make this signing a multiyear deal without breaking the bank. It would be more of a positive than a negative. Pull the trigger Jerrah.

“We may or may not get something done as far as adding at WR but, if we don’t, I like where we are.”

- Jerry Jones on OBJ interest

Talk about wanting to have it both ways.

“If we sign him? We’re great! If we don’t sign him? We’re still great!”

Hear that sheep?!?! Those are your marching orders.
Do you want him? Haven’t seen your past recent comments.

Im all up for getting better but I sure would rather keep him and his media magnet self away from our situation if at all possible.

This team needs to run the ball in a big way, and I’m not sure we need this dude making negative Dak comments when he doesn’t throw him the ball. Jeez even mild tempered Amari Cooper felt compelled to join that club.

The idea of Dak feeling the need to force balls to a WR he isn’t in synch with doesn’t sound promising either.

Are we better on paper with Beckham? Yep I suppose. Dynamically? I’m not so sure.

If Lamb goes down I’d do it. If not I’d pass.

yea the last thing any QB needs is a wr who is proven he can takeover a game in the post season who actually wants the ball and isn't afraid to say so. Na QB's hate that stuff. I hope they get him and I don't care that he might be a douchebag or not I want this team to win and the chances of beating a good team in the playoffs are better when we have more talent than not.

It's so they can claim 'Due Diligence' when he goes to another team

Honest question. How is he with running routes and getting separation?

I would actually prefer Suh. He's nasty on the field but off the field he's actually a great guy. I'm not a fan of OBJ at all. I've read the comments here about him maturing. I hope so if we do get him. I just don't want this team to get pass happy again. The formula we have right now is working with Dak only needing 25 and 27 attempts to win both his comeback games. It reminds me of the 2016 offense. I said I would stop being a Cowboys fan if we signed TO but after a few games of seeing how he helped Romo gain some confidence, I bought a TO jersey. I'd probably do the same with OBJ.

Jerry was saving money for next year for all our FAs but this is a perfect season to make some noise so that wildcatter probably will go all in. It's going to cost us next year but let's all hope and pray we get something gold and shiny out of it.

Yes, I am for it. I think Beckham’s past behavior has been left in the past. He held in a lot of his frustrations for a long time in Cleveland, staying quiet while dealing with awful quarterback play. And by all accounts, everyone with the Rams organization loved him. He was even asked back to join in the week one Super Bowl celebration.

I think this team NEEDS the passing game to get back to the level it was when Cooper was here and I think OBJ gives them their best opportunity to do that.

If they get that right, I feel they can contend for a championship.

With the defense adding Hankins and Damone Clark hopefully gaining confidence and utilizing his speed to spy the QB (our Achilles heel this season) OBJ is a must add. He opens up the offense and allows for quick throws. Something none of our current wide outs can offer. He also has playoff success. Another thing this WR group doesn't have. I think this is a must add and could be the final piece.

Honestly, it’ll be helpful just having him on the field.

Brown is banged up and Gallup has yet to top 50 yards this season.

I’m with you. And I thought he was getting back to firm with the Rams prior to his injury. He was looking like a potential Super Bowl MVP in that game before he was hurt.

And I think his addition would help us to field a complete offense like we had with Cooper.

Yep. Good post again FiveTwos.
My big picture opinion is leaning on the running game instead of adding more passing as well.

I agree with all the possible what if negative scenarios you mention here as to being too much to ruin team chemistry.

We've got the wrong GM/owner and HC to know how to properly handle all the extra media limelight and pressure his signing would invite.

Ultimately as you stated,
I'd only sign him IF Lamb got hurt.

Otherwise, no for me.

It seems everyone in the organization is bringing it up in the media. Maybe trying to sway him? McCarthy yesterday now Jerry today

Media asked McCarthy about it, he did not shy away from the prospect, but media brought up the subject.

I'm all for it, I just hope he can be the player he was. After 2 ACL injuries, will he be?

I'm not too worried about his diva-ness. If he can step in and help this offense, let's roll. This team seems to already have good chemistry and personality, so I think OBJ would fit right in.
