The message should've been delivered behind closed doors. Announcing your draft intentions to the rest of the league makes no sense, but it's Jerry so...

Honestly.......I sense they've approached Dak with an extension but Dak and the extension are not playing alone w/o additional money. IF they are forced to eat the $49M cap coz Dak and his agent refused to extend, then yes, I can see them drafting a QB in the first 3 rounds.

Talks with Dak and his agent are completely different from his first contract. The reason being.....$40M, they want results.....

Hurts is average. He's basically surrounded by a top flight OL and RG, with great coaching. Their OC was the guy who coached Herbert for half a season his first year and CHargers fans were upset they let go and replaced with Lombardi. Hurts is basically like Dak was his first couple years, except his mediocre skills allowed his team to progress farther than our QBs medioce skills did.
