But putting blame on the defense for that loss is ridiculous. Dallas offense had the ball with 3 minutes left before halftime and came away with zero points. After halftime Dallas had 4 possessions (also had one drive extended by 49ers roughing kicker penalty) and came away with a total of 3 points. They finally scored those 3 points with 11:50 seconds left in the 4th quarter, and that drive was extended by a fake punt. The offense failed again and again

I’m not putting the entire blame for the loss in the defense. Dak and the offense was part of the blame but it seems like most fans target Dak and gloss over our glaring defensive issues in the playoffs. Not wasting anymore time on that game.

But other quarterbacks have outplayed Dak in the playoffs since 2016 as well.

Those QBs had better teams/defenses. Dak went toe to toe with Rodgers in 2016 but our defense choked with the game on the line. Dak outplayed Goff in 2018 but we lost because of our defense. The defense was to blame in both those games.

- Talk about extension before offseason
- Refuse to sign long term deal to help team be active in free agency
