Manning had way too much time in the pocket, even Garrett mentioned in his presser that we did not affect him very much. If we don't fix that by the time the playoffs get here, somebody like Aaron Rogers is going to eat us alive if we just let him sit in the pocket all day.

I don't want this season to end like 2007 and for us to be one and done, I want a deep playoff run !!!!!

Eli is a bit like his brother in that he doesn't spend a lot of time in the pocket. He gets the ball out. It's hard to sack a QB like that but I agree our pressure is not what we'd like it to be. But Eli didn't spend all day back there looking over the field like Romo did at times. So while I agree the pressure is not what we'd like its not terrible either.

We're going to have to wait on TMac, Melton, and Spencer to hit their stride along with getting Lawrence back. Perhaps Okoye and Brent can help. Not sure what the story on Whaley is heathwise or playerwise.

Yeah. Its not our pass rush. Eli just gets the ball out quickly. In fact, all our opposing QBs do that.

Nothing to see here. Go Cowboys.

I have always had a problem with a subjective stat like hurries. What is a hurry to one QB is not to another. And it depends on who is making the call.

What can I say?! He'd rather take a shot than contribute to the conversation. Perhaps it's because he doesn't know how??

I haven't looked at the pass defense efficiency which is a measure of the pass rush as well as the pass defense by the LBers and DBs. It can't be great with the 20ish rated defense in the league. OTOH, it can't be too bad with a team riding a six game win streak. OTOH, every team that wants to contend needs a better pass rush than we have. While I agree sacks don't tell the entire story by far, you can't just wish the lack of sacks away either.

We need a better pass rush if we want to be a better team. Perhaps it will come with the health and work of Melton, Spencer and TMac along with the development of Lawrence. Perhaps not.

This data doesn't include last week's game, but it looks like E. Manning had the fourth-fastest average time to throw in the league going into our game, at 2.38 seconds, and 63.6% of his drop backs had a ball coming out in 2.5 s or less.

Romo, by point of comparison was at 2.72 and 49%, given generally better protection, too.

It was a major focus for the NYFG offense this offseason to get the ball out faster when they brought in McAdoo moved in the direction of the GB passing game. McAdoo, for those who don't know, was the former GB QB coach.

Has anybody seen the article about Jerry Jones saying he almost choked watching Cameron Diaz feed A-Rod popcorn in the suite next to his? Not sure what he meant but here's what he said.

He’s (Rodriguez) a long-term friend, actually a neighbor of mine. I, like everybody, have always admired how exceptional he is, so we have that. He was a guest there of Barry Andrews, whose suite is right next to our owner’s suite, so it made for a nice visit with him. I think the last time we were sitting that close together was at the Super Bowl. Boy, she [Cameron Diaz] was good looking, that girl he was sitting there watching with. I think she was feeding him popcorn. (Jones laughing) It made me choke.

Only Jerry Jones.

RS knows how. He's a very smart dude. I just don't get his whole persona. At the minimum, he's getting what every self-proclaimed realists wants at this juncture out of the Dallas Cowboys. Heck, minus some blips glitches and here and there.... Whodathunk? I know his rep in here, but damn, let's not micromanage every nuance for the sake of wanting or needing to be right... right?

Enjoy the journey. You just might end up surprised.
