I predict he'll be somewhere between Shante Carver and Charles Haley.
Whoa hold that frame of thought there Cowboy.......two of the best defenders on the Cowboys right now are from Boise St. - Scandrick and Crawford.
I don't agree with you here....
And how much did either contribute their rookie years? I didn't say you can't be a good player from Boise State. I said it's not an easy transition to expect a rookie to contribute immediately. Especially when he's not in game shape compared to the o line he will be going against. I wouldn't even expect him to be in heavy rotation until maybe Thanksgiving once he is activated.
With the way Jerry and others are talking, and given the fact our defense is in need of a pass rush, I'd be surprised if he isn't given every opportunity to contribute in obvious pass-rushing situations from the start. He'll have had three-plus weeks of practicing fully healthy by the time the Arizona game rolls around.
Exactly. He's not going to have to worry about defending the run.
It's as simple as "See QB, Sack QB."
Spencer played 20-some snaps his first game back, I would bet Lawrence will see similar.
Guess we have a different definition of heavy rotation...20-25 snaps is also where I think he will be all the way up to Thanksgiving.
Aren't there only 60-ish plays in a game? Wonder how many guys on our line are playing more than 35 snaps a game right now?

Thanks! So two guys, Mincey and Crawford, are averaging over 35 snaps a game, at roughly 44 and 40, respectively. Selvie's averaging about 31 if my math is right.
This guy will be the most overhyped rookie in Cowboys history.
I predict he'll be somewhere between Shante Carver and Charles Haley.
He even looks good in the shower...
Way to go out on a limb there.. lol

And I took it as such... lolwas a joke. lol
Melton leads the team in sacks with 2.........................LOL, that is just sad that a DT has more sacks than our DEs
We have got to fix this anemic pass rush before the playoffs, hopefully DLAW will be a key component of that .
You need to look at sacks, hit, and hurries as well as look as the pass defense efficiency to get an idea what we have. We do get a better Spencer, Melton and T Mac as time goes by. Add Lawrence and maybe Brent and you can see why some are a tad excited.
DLAW is gonna come in and get 10 sacks by seasons end, and another 6 throughout the SB run.
