Jerry: DeMarcus Lawrence had everyone frothing at the mouth in practice

Whoa hold that frame of thought there Cowboy.......two of the best defenders on the Cowboys right now are from Boise St. - Scandrick and Crawford.

I don't agree with you here....

And how much did either contribute their rookie years? I didn't say you can't be a good player from Boise State. I said it's not an easy transition to expect a rookie to contribute immediately. Especially when he's not in game shape compared to the o line he will be going against. I wouldn't even expect him to be in heavy rotation until maybe Thanksgiving once he is activated.

With the way Jerry and others are talking, and given the fact our defense is in need of a pass rush, I'd be surprised if he isn't given every opportunity to contribute in obvious pass-rushing situations from the start. He'll have had three-plus weeks of practicing fully healthy by the time the Arizona game rolls around.

Exactly. He's not going to have to worry about defending the run.

It's as simple as "See QB, Sack QB."

Spencer played 20-some snaps his first game back, I would bet Lawrence will see similar.

Guess we have a different definition of heavy rotation...20-25 snaps is also where I think he will be all the way up to Thanksgiving.

Aren't there only 60-ish plays in a game? Wonder how many guys on our line are playing more than 35 snaps a game right now?

Thanks! So two guys, Mincey and Crawford, are averaging over 35 snaps a game, at roughly 44 and 40, respectively. Selvie's averaging about 31 if my math is right.

LOL. I'm brain dead tonite so I'll take your word. Always been good anyway. They are rotating these guys which is fine with me. I'd like to see Lawrence, Brent and the guy whose name I can't pronounce in there as well. Melton, T MaC and Spencer are getting in shape so any more talent is fine with me.

can't wait to see what he can do..

i really feel he will be another piranha joining in this feeding frenzy.

damn i love marinelli..

He even looks good in the shower...

Mickey has a really odd way of talking about what guys look like physically. The other day he was talking about Murray's thighs not being particularly thick when you see him in the locker room, and I was like, I wonder how many of these guys Mickey is giving the once over in various states of undress.

Melton leads the team in sacks with 2.........................LOL, that is just sad that a DT has more sacks than our DEs

We have got to fix this anemic pass rush before the playoffs, hopefully DLAW will be a key component of that .

You need to look at sacks, hit, and hurries as well as look as the pass defense efficiency to get an idea what we have. We do get a better Spencer, Melton and T Mac as time goes by. Add Lawrence and maybe Brent and you can see why some are a tad excited.

Manning had way too much time in the pocket, even Garrett mentioned in his presser that we did not affect him very much. If we don't fix that by the time the playoffs get here, somebody like Aaron Rogers is going to eat us alive if we just let him sit in the pocket all day.

I don't want this season to end like 2007 and for us to be one and done, I want a deep playoff run !!!!!
