Jerry doesn't regret not waiting on Prescott's contract

I would like to hear about the analysis that went into re-signing Dak and what comparisons were made to instead going after other FA QBs.
I would love to know too but getting inside the workings of Jerry's mind kind of scares me!

I don't think he's necessarily lying. His Cowboys will make him money no matter what. The salary space he used on Prescott was going to be used on someone. And he's not concerned with using that space to build a better team because he's delusional enough to believe he's doing it right.

Jerry sees other teams' starting QBs making similar to what Prescott is getting, knows that will continue to increase and believes he's justified in paying his "franchise" QB that way.

I think if we think he's lying, expect him to know he should have done things differently, we're giving him more credit that he deserves as a GM. I think he has no idea why it has been a bad move, partly because he wholly believes in his philosophy to pay your own and not spend much for free agents from other teams.

On Dak's side (assumption of course).....Raiders, Tennessee maybe......just to get past trade clause.....Atlanta before the Kirk Cousin deal and Pennix draft.

On our side......who? Pennix?, Cooper Rush as a bridge QB?.......who? Justin Fields?.....who? Jerry was backed in a corner because he didn't get ahead of this, and with Cee Dee's late signing.
People don't plan to fail, they fail to plan.

The QB contract trajectory was easy to figure out as was the fact that Dak was not going to live up to that level of pay. The Cowboys could have rolled with Dak in his final year and then draft a QB and try to upgrade the position through free agency. They still have Rush.

The move, actually, would have been brilliant considering how things played out.

Think we should all know by now that the Dallas FO never makes a mistake because they are smarter than the people who have been doing this longer than themselves; and they have their collective pulse on the league so they are keenly aware of the current NFL landscape.

Interesting...Usually "Jr.'s" are a parents first born son. Oh well. Even the Jones' couldn't get that right!! :muttley:
Not sure if it's right or wrong but there is something about their birth names and what they prefer to be called. Jerry Jones father's name was J.W. Jones. Everyone called him 'Pat' but I cannot confirmed whether that is short for Patrick (or Patricia lol).

Jones goes by Jerry but his first name is Jerrel. In my opinion, 'Jerrel' fits him better than Jerry. My apologies to any members named Jerrel (or Jerry).

DNA Kid #1's first name is John but everyone knows him by Stephen. Maybe that is a byproduct of him receiving too many 'Dear John' letters early in life.

But they (Jerry) didn't......so are they going to move forward or just hold on the "It's Dak fault" mantra now?

The real shocker would have been Jerry admitting her overpaid by a lot. That would lite up the social media in a huge way. Would be all over the internet.

"Yep, Dak's Agent bent us over" would be the lead story.

No better liar than Jerry Jones
No, he's a bad liar, because we all know he's lying.

He regrets every extra nickel Dak pulled out of him.

But he never learns a lesson, he'll do the same thing with Parsons.

Fans are coming around to realize it's the guy who signs the checks that is to blame, not the guy who cashes them.

He's an idiot. The same fool that thought Lance was an NFL qb. The Cowboys recent play should tell anyone that we could be an 8 or 9 win team without Dak. And Dak doesn't give us anything as for going further than winning the division so what's the point. His best years are behind him. He'll be the 3rd best qb in the division before his contract is out and that's if the giants don't hit with a qb.

What do you expect him to say? I'm a dumbazz and now you know it?

Go Cowboys!

Jerry knows it's a bad deal, and if he was a true gambler he would've let Dak play out the season instead of chickening out cause France said they won't negotiate during season.

Kudos to The Fan hosts for asking him that question. But Jerry isn't going to admit error. He won't even admit he made a mistake doing nothing in the offseason.
