I highly doubt he cares all that much at this point.

The second he signed that 2nd contract that will probably take him to the end of his career, whatever care and motivation he had left probably dried up quicker than the ink on the paper.

The problem is no one is asking him to be Lamar Jackson. In the NFL in 2024 you have to be willing to run your QB a little bit unless they are an elite thrower. The other issue is the Cowboys are literally running read options but apparently there is no option, which makes total sense when you watch the tape. I know a lot of people hate Mike McCarthy but how the hell do you coach a football team when the owner is taking away your ability to use your players best attributes?

Just have him run like he did last year. Not a ton, but effective when he did it (averaged 4.40 YPC & 242 yards for the year with 2 TDs) & keep the defense honest. Those QB keepers were money.

Scrambling! Scrambling! Scrambling! It is not necessary for Dak Prescott to morph into some sort of <expletive> gazelle! Take what the defense is surrendering when your receivers are covered. SLIDE before someone gets five yards near you. RUN. OUT. OF. BOUNDS before taking a hit. Be progressive in making down-and-distance situations more manageable whenever you can and be careful doing so at the same time.
