Ok i did another post above about how they started last year, and so really we should not expect to be any better this year.
they started 1-2 , and sure coop wasnt here yet, but dak has not thrown to him at all yet this season, it may take a few games to get that going.
Witten is back, beasely is gone, so really there is no telling how they will start out.
I just hope jerry doesnt think it is all due to no elliot if they get off to a bad start like last year.

My opinion is we start strong and remain strong. Sure, we'll lose a few games, just like the 90's SB teams did. But, this is a very good team.

Dak is not going to have a huge year without Zeke. The run game will not be effective without Zeke.

In game adjustments will confuse a rookie OC.

Prepare for a long holdout. The Cowboys should withdrawl their offer and make it clear they expect Zeke to honor his existing contract the next 2 years.

That will be credible if they bring in a decent cap casualty RB to go with Pollard. If they don't, they're not serious.

So they fire SL (many folks fall guy who was the OC that was 32-16 that everyone says is Daks biggest asset he wins) and hire his protege KM who learned everything about NFL football offense from him, KM says they are running the same O not sure how that helps. As for where you pick a back is not important it's what he produces.and there is not any indication anyone on the team will produce like Zeke only wishful thinking. You seem to believe Dak and KM are going to flick a switch and Dak is lighting up the league with his pin point passing and high yardage games and high TD output as the run game is now not needed to win. Should be fun to watch this metamorphosis take place, can't wait.

The problem with your rant is that you're under this idea that Elliott is the only back that can run in this offense. HE'S NOT. Elliott has done great but he not the only back that can produce in this offense. Prescott isn't going to all of a sudden turn into the most accurate passer but the second half of last season his accuracy improved greatly. I'm not ready to start screaming the sky is falling because there's a new OC and Elliott isn't here. I'm willing to wait and see what happens now that the season is going to start and the vanilla offense the Cowboys ran in preseason will now be replaced with the offense we will see during the season. When Moore said that the cowboys were going to run the same offense I think he was meaning that the Cowboys would still rely on the running game. I'm sure there will be new formations and some different option with many of the plays. Of course this is just a guess on my part but if everything is going to be exactly the same why get rid of Linehan.

I think you think that based on hopes and wants,and they may do just that,or they may start out just like last year or do badly.
You just never know.

Wasn't a rant just a opinion, like yours we will not know until the season goes a few games. Everyone is replaceable but lets be honest SL was fired because Jerry needed a fall guy and his hand picked "Landry" wasn't going anywhere. They replaced SL with KM his number one disciple because they didn't want Dak to have to learn a new O. Funny Zeke is replaceable and we shall see how Dak plays with out him. Sky isn't falling at all at this point we have to wait and see how all the parts play out.
