In his video on DC .com he said he was happy with where we were at Safety TE, CB and WR. Citing injury issues mentioned by Jerry I think C.J. Mosley is a HUGE possibility in round 1 because he said the draft was deep on both interiors and not as much at LB.

I'd be a little surprised if we go linebacker in the first round because the need for an elite SLB in this scheme is not as high as the need for pass-rushing DL. But I don't think you rule it out because we simply need a talent influx in the front seven.

LB is definitely a need. I don't mind getting a LB in the 1st round and then getting the fat guys later.

I kept saying to pay attention to whats going on in Dallas. They really like what they have in Church Wilcox and Heath

Mosely would be a safe pick. play the strong side. Just dont know bout these alabama players. They seem to turn into average in the NFL.

They might have to go LB -- they don't have a single reliable LB they can count on. Lee is great <when> he plays, Carter imploded last season, and Durant isn't he answer (maybe Holllaman is).

I would argue that Hightower has turned out pretty good in New England, and Upshaw is pretty good in Baltimore.

I wouldn't draft Bama DL, though.

If Mosley is there, he'd fit well, I agree.

A slight trade down from 16 and trade up from 42 could land us two really good players though....possibly Pyror and Donald.
A guy like Shazier could be there later too.

We need at least three new bonafide d-linemen this off season. I don't mind in what round they're brought in, just bring 'em in. Impact players on D are needed.

I'd be surprised if we went linebacker simply because it would almost certainly mean giving up on Carter. I don't think you draft a SLB in the 1st round.

Not really, considering we have Holloman starting on the other side. Lee can't stay healthy. We need depth.

Happy? I think there is a couple guys 'in training'. I have hope for both. Heath is fast physically but needs the mental to keep pace with the physical. Wilcox is closer to bullet proof Keith, IMO. He is what he is. Physical.

They need a upgrade at safety. Was disappointed when I watched this interview.. Safety should absolutely be in play in round 1

How can you say this after only one year with Heath and Wilcox? Dallas has invested a lot of time (not to mention some money) in Wilcox and Heath. To draft a safety early this year would render the Wilcox pick a complete waste. He 's going to get another season before they call him a bust. What's more, he deserves another year.

Dallas really likes what they have in him and Heath, as well as Matt Johnson. There has to be a reason they keep him around.

Outside of QB and Kicker, what else can't use an upgrade, or playmaker? ;)

The Wilcox pick was a waste. I think he has a chance to be a good player but in my opinion he is in competition with Barry Church... I don't see how you can play two downhill safeties at the same time and not get beat deep consistently. Both of them are guys that their major strength is tackling and playing the run. They need to bring in a safety with some range who can play centerfield in a cover 1 situation.. Doesn't mean that Wilcox HAS to be a waste because you can get creative and move Church down to LB in sub packages etc and get all 3 on the field at the same time but you don't pass up on good players because you are trying to justify old draft picks.. thats how you end up with more bad draft picks.. If they thought Wilcox was the answer at FS they would have never let Heath replace him.. The Cowboys have shown that they will stick with guys and are extremely reluctant to bench guys but had no hesitation when it came to Wilcox.. Right now the only true FS on the roster is Jakar Hamilton and he may not even be good enough to make the team this year.
