Not to mention the jerseys he could sell of DJ. He'll have to have a different number lol. But still.
Dude you won't let this go it's not happening I don't know why you see this happening and why you have to have a special post for it we all saw it over on the other post I don't even know Daniel Jones number what is his number that's the thing I don't really care you don't care too much about what the giants are doing in Washington and everyone else i don't.

But if I'm Daniel Jones I only take a job with a contender and then next year he gets to be a free agent that's what my contract would say you pick me up redo it just pay me for the rest of this year at a veteran rate let the giants pay the rest and let him be a free agent next year.

Dude, I'm just pointing out that it'd be the funniest thing ever if Jerry were to do it, and it's perfect marketing. Maybe he goes to SF, but I think Jerry should at least try. It'd be hilarious.

That it would be lol. It's as easy a win as Jerry can get for the short term. He could market the crap out of DJ leading into that game, and then get a free comp pick when he goes elsewhere. It is perfectly set up for us.
well, he would have to cut rush or carry 3 QB on roster, which is what we had anyway.

come to think of it, if what you say is true, then it would be really smart to sign him.

Well think about it. Signing him when the waivers clear on the week leading into a game against his old team? How could Jerry NOT market it? I mean, this is Jerry we're taking about.

What would be funny is Jerry make a offer to DJ and DJ says listen I just got off a crap team I am not going to a worse one that is run by Jerry.

With the news about Daniel Jones being released today, Jerry has an opportunity to do the funniest thing ever. Daniel Jones is going to have the rest of his salary paid by the Giants. We play the Giants on Thanksgiving. We could sign Daniel Jones for vet minimum for the rest of the year, and we can start him against his old team on Thanksgiving.

Besides, let's be honest, Rush or Lance vs DeVito? Yawwwwwn. Jones against his old team? Oh yeah!!! And, if he signs elsewhere after the season, we would get the comp pick for it. It's a win win.
You wouldn’t get a comp pick because he will be signing a low backup QB level deal which won’t be in the top 32.

How? If he clears waivers, he's a FA. He's a former starter. If he comes in and beats the Giants, we might have a chance at a comp pick for him if we bring him on for the rest of the year. Heck, we could sign him for 2 years on vet min, and we have an upgrade at backup QB going into next year and get a comp pick either way.

DJ is not signing for the vet minimum on a team with a $60M QB on the roster. He will have multiple offers, as teams will think they can fix him.

Maybe, but for the rest of the season with the Giants paying the rest of his contract? Maybe he says no, but at least Jerry should try. I'm just saying that Jerry has an opportunity to try to do something hilarious. But, if DJ says no, oh well. But still, I just think trying to bring him in for the rest of the season would be great. I just don't want Jerry to not pick up the phone and at least try.

Right now he would have to clear waivers since it is after the trade deadline. We are currently 9th on the waiver wire. Yes, that team would have to pick up the remainder of his base salary, but for this year it was only $1,080,000, so that is about $450,000. They could then cut him with no cap issues after the season if they wanted to.

Not saying a team will do this, but here is the 8 in front of us. There are a couple teams in there who may want to roll the dice and give him a cheap look.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars, 2-9
2. Tennessee Titans, 2-8
3. New York Giants, 2-8
4. Las Vegas Raiders, 2-8
5. New England Patriots, 3-8
6. New York Jets, 3-8
7. Cleveland Browns, 3-8
8. Carolina Panthers, 3-7
9. Dallas Cowboys, 3-7

Here is the link to the full current waiver wire order and rules (in case someone wants to see it):
