Of course he is proud. He gets to stay comfortable in his role (where a coach won’t question him) and thinks he has something to sell to the gullible fans this offseason with the solid play down the stretch. It is perfect for him.

Don’t fall for the fans. He is counting he can fool you though.
Jerry is the king of selling hopioid....

Jerry is inspired by the wins he's seeing lately. :starspin:
It'll be fun to see if he rewards McCarthy with another year. :flagwave:
It will even prove interesting to see if Big Mike is willing to stick around.

This is the happiest fans have been in a non-playoff season since 2010 when we closed out 5-3 after Wade’s 1-7 start.

Jerry is full of it and is just trying to sell hope. Stephen kind of hinted that there will be changes. I don’t think there is anyway McCarthy comes back. He has basically been Garrett for 5 seasons. You can’t give a new contract for no playoff success. The Cowboys have won one playoff game in 5 years.

Message to Jerry: “Can you tell how tired your team’s fans are of your three decades of playoff failure and overall mediocrity?“
Jerry's message to fans: "No. I'm worth 10 bil and the money keeps pouring in, no matter what I do. A blind mentally challenged monkey could do this and make money at this point. Thank you all for your continued support and adoration. *kisses hands and waves to the angry mob as he walks into the tunnel."

This is a good thing! Now we don't need to do anything in FA! Hell, we can trade all our draft picks back to the 7th round!!!

I’m proud of the way they not only missed the playoffs, but also played their way out of a good pick. Brilliant.

He forgot to add in as hard as I tried to undermine the team and the more monkey wrenches I threw in the works somehow addition by subtraction overcame my best efforts to make the team fail.
Once we eradicated all my favorite players and draft pick projects the team actually started to succeed.

CD wasn't hanging his head on the sideline anymore in disgust

Zack Martin wasn't taking up space holding us hostage anymore with his Hall of Fame resume.

Tank and his suspect attitude was out of the equation.

Zeke had finally stopped falling forward for a yard and a half and was taken out for Rico

Guyton was finally replaced after he proved that he was not yet NFL ready.

Dak got injured and we no longer had to watch a quarterback that had slowly gotten to the point where Tony Romo was at the end of his career. Highly paid often injured and unable to get us over the hump.

And we fielded a team that actually wanted to win and was led by a quarterback who was Jeff George's arm away from being able to take us to the playoffs if he was given the chance.

This is another season as bad as Barry Switzer winning the Super bowl it just validates Jerry in his own mind as being a football guy and the true horror of that will do nothing positive for our future.

So my cowboy brethren cipher on that while you have a Merry Christmas.
Our fearless leader is brewing up a fresh batch of snake oil to sell us while we're resting up on the holiday
