Twitter: Jerry: I thought we'd look better tonight without Dak

Rush isn't better than Dak, but Dak isn't worth the the most money in the NFL. The talent of the team is way off, so neither Rush or Dak have much help and both look bad now.

Jerry is just dumb, he created this mess.

Our offense never looked as bad with Dak at any point in his career as what we saw today with Rush. I’m not sure any of the QBs we used during the Campo era ever had a stinker this bad. The fans that were touting Rush as a better QB than Dak and on par with him are still wiping pie from their face.
He was awful yesterday, but you conveniently left out all the previous games he's played in your assessment and instead used just yesterday's game against one of the best defenses in the league. No one actually believes he's better than Dak, but everyone can tell his ratio of performance to salary is superior to Dak. Him being the backup QB is not the issue, the issue is Dak being the starter and being paid as the top player in the league.

dak is by far the best qb we have, i seriously think jerry may be done....
To be fair to our idiot GM, I think he meant he thought Rush and the team wouldve played better. Not better than with Dak, but better than they showed.

But yeah, JJ is a buffoon.

That's fine.

What he said is right there on video.
Man, I usually appreciate your contributions in this never-ending debate whether I agree with them or not, but everyone knows Jerryspeak happens and clearly, this one did not come out the way he meant. I am sure he is regretting the signing right now, but even Jerry didn't think the team would improve with Rush instead of Dak, he just just thought we would be better with Rush than we were.

Sorry to say but in this one you are coming off like...

He never passed for many yards in the other games, except against Minnesota when we had both Amari and CeeDee. Our offense was ranked 17th while Rush was our QB in 2022. He had a couple of games under 200 yards passing. He only threw 5 TD passes in 5 games. What he did well was manage the games and he played steady. He wasn’t having to do a lot because we ran the ball well and our defense was playing great. However, we weren’t generating points with him. Many of our points were coming with FG’s. Read the board, a few fans were claiming he was better than Dak. Some claimed there would be no drop off between him and Dak. Lol Some of you need to stop complaining about how much Dak is making. Despite how dreadful Rush looked, there’s still plenty of Dak haters that would rather have him at QB than Dak.

Right before he said this, he said, "The Cowboys didn't play well with Dak. At all."

Did he mean that in a different way also?

This is why communication is about more than the words spoken. He clearly means even without Dak he thought the offense would have looked better than it did. You know that because before that he was saying any time you lose your #1 QB you have to make adjustments and that you are making them uphill.

if he really believed that the offense would be better without Dak then with him, he doesn’t make those comments beforehand.

And none of that really matters.

What matters is that our oh so competent GM has once again failed miserably in player/roster evaluations.
