Jerry most definitely gets it .. and a lot of the media gets it .. but a lot of Cowboys fans don't get it.

Jerry's priority is popularity because popularity generates revenue and increase valuations.

Jerry wants to win, but only as a byproduct, not as the priority.
If he thought winning would increase his net worth tremendously then he’d do whatever it took.

I’m sure he’s literally had people do the research required for him to know just how much more money he could make if the Cowboys won compared to if they’re always talked about.

Always talked about won.

Why doesn’t winning generate revenue / increase valuations? And if it does, then why isn’t that his strategy?

A narcissist will not switch gears at age 40. An 80 year-old narcissist will most definitely not switch gears.

The man is super filthy rich doing the exact same thing heard in the video as he has done his entire adult life, even before he ponied up $90+ million of his own money to buy the franchise.

He truly believes keeping the public engaged will eventually pay off when the team starts winning championships again. Unfortunately, Jones inner self-centered idiot will not accept the fact his oversight as general manager has not accomplished just that before now, now, and most likely not within his future.

Jones' mentality take Dan Campbell's stubbornness and magnifies it 1000%. The self-stupidity is maddening. He is literally defeating himself for the umpteenth time. Jerry Jones is having his cake, eating it too, and the cake was made from battery acid.

That's fan logic, which is what we always use, but that's not the logic that Jerry uses.

Make no mistake, Jerry knows if the Cowboys were to win a Super Bowl, both his revenue and team valuation would increase considerably.

The problem is that Jerry is a businessman and he knows that 80% of potential is better than 50% or worse. To him, the risks-vs-rewards of the remaining 20% of the 100% a Super Bowl would bring does not offset the drop that a failed attempt would bring.

Jerry is quite content with 80% being the reward for failing, but after 28 years, 80% is becoming more and more unacceptable to fans.

At least with a 50% or worse season fans would get a rebuild of some kind. 80% makes it too easy for Jerry to think the Cowboys are one or two players or one or two lucky calls or bounces away from success, so he just rinses and repeats year after year.
