We are getting poached and we aren't doing anything ourselves. Just weird to me. All it takes is one big name like Hardy though and I will be happy. Our defense is only a couple of pieces away.

Yeah, if we do something like Hardy and Gurley in the draft, I'll have no problem... On the other hand, if we miss out on those guys, then I'll have a problem. In this league, you can't have extremes. You can't overpay like we've been doing early on with Jerry, but then again you can't be cheapskates and expect to fill your team with nothing but bargains. I understand you can't keep everyone. Letting Durant go, Harris, Melton, and the such go. ok, fine. But when guys like Carter and possibly Murray start disappearing, then I'm really going to be looking for something proactive. We also don't have McClain resigned, which is possibly another huge blow to our defense. I believe they let Sterling Moore walk as well.

Right, it has been one extreme or another. Either overspend and saddle us for years or don't spend jack and the team suffers. I feel like when you are very close to getting to the super bowl, you need to bring in that guy or 2 to get you over the hump. We are right there....

I am a little concerned right now. Losing Carter kind of shocked me. I thought he played well last year. And it wasn't a HUGE deal he signed in TB either,,,,,, Not sure why we didn't just keep him for that kind of money...If you're wrong, its not going to break you.

Now, if we lose DM and we don't pick up Hardy..... I am going to wonder, "what are they thinking?"

I don't think we will be as good as we were last year; Right when we should be getting better and within Romo's window. I think "we" all think the window for Romo and even Witten is 2-3 years. I am thinking now, the FO thinks its really...5 years!! That is a mistake imho....a big risk to think that way. Romo isn't making it 5 years.....

But, I've been wrong before. Like when I said the Cowboys would be lucky to win 5 games last year....... dont say you thought any different..

maybe they do draft well, and that rookie RB goes off and gets "rookie of the year"..... and the D , steps up with young players from the draft and no-name cheap FAs....?

I like the fact that we are not overpaying. But we are taking a huge risk, imho, of losing the momentum we established last year if DM walks and we don't get better on the DL....
