Jerry is still trying to rationalize the Micah trade

And here I was worried when cowboys couldn’t stop/tackle anything.
.
Okay. Maybe I seriously missed something.
What should be a key indicator of LB?
First off Parsons isnt a LB, and two I'm not sure that any singular stat is going to be an accurate reflection of a players abilities in run defense. That is largely a team stat. TFLs are a decent one, and PFF has done a nice job with their Stops statistic, but we wont have near the data points to accurately gauge a players run defense productivity compared to pass defense numbers and offensive statistics.

I mean if an EDGE player cuts off the outside line and forces a ball carrier back inside for the LB to clean up the play is that not a quality rep on the DE since he wasnt part of the tackle? Are we going to penalize an aggressive attacking defense that forces more 3 and outs over a bend/dont break scheme that is going to stay on the field for more plays to rack up higher tackle numbers? Are we going to penalize the quality run defender that teams try to run away from the majority of their snaps?

Its kind of like being critical of the shut down DB for not getting more INTs...maybe there is an issue there, but at the same time that DB may not have nearly as many opportunities for plays on the ball if their coverage is top tier all game.

I provided a data laden explanation as a direct response to a question you asked me.

Do you have any thoughts on my comment above?

That’s all fine and great.
But what do you think?
Do you have your own thoughts on this?
I follow the facts and what more reliable and experienced analysts closer to the situation evaluate.

And I’m less likely to follow anonymous fans on social media who go against what these facts and well renowned , respected entities present.

That’s why I always ask for evidence to support thoughts when they go against the factual data.

Parsons was never going to win this team a Super Bowl. Green Bay will find out just who he is.
If the Packers make it to the SB this year with Parsons, Jerry is never going to live this down.

The media frenzy will be brutal and Jerry will get the Mavs GM treatment from fans.

And if the Cowboys don’t even make the playoffs at the same time Mica is profiled and promoted as the difference maker for the Pack, yikes.

Could even have an immediate impact. Your team has a potentially fragile quarterback and your owner trades someone who might sack him a few games down the line.

That’s almost something worth rooting for:)

It wouldn’t make much of a difference for the serious Jerry apologists.

Whether the trade was a good move or not, those same fans would have been happy if Micah was just cut altogether. We saw that in some of the comments.
