But I guess in the simplest of terms if he said that the team wins a LOT more games when Zeke rushes for over 100 yds then it would be okay.

Right?

Lol

LOL what an idiotic thing to say.

Not only is this a subtle slap to Dak, but this is a passing league, you go as your QB goes and your trenches protecting your QB and your pass rushers getting to the QB. Ol' Jerruh stuck in the 90s.

And I just want to point out, with all this talk about the confidence coaches and ownership has in Dak - we tend to have similar quotes like this every few weeks it seems. I love that we are paying 20% of our cap to a QB that is overshadowed by an overpaid 27 year old RB going on 35.

Welcome to the Jerry Jones Circus......please come again!!!

No, I think you’re about to find out that you go as your offensive line goes. There’s been a lot of guys to get 1000 yards behind that left tackle you probably just lost for good.
We all are going to find out if our stud highly paid stars can deal with a non-perfect roster around them.
As they didn't accomplish much with top-notch talent from the offline to TE, WR, and HB, folks are scared, and rightfully so.
OK, Smith is out so the season is a wash.......
Only in Dallas can this be considered rational football ideology!!!
27 years of futility don't come easy......

P.S.Bengals offline took them all the way to the Superbowl??

What would we do without Jerry to stay on top of things with his words of wisdom?!
He's the Boys' #1 pitchman for Zeke! It's like a broken record that never ends. :muttley:

So Jerry is depending on the fat ewok that can barely run 10 yards without tapping out for a blow to carry the team without their stud LT:huh:

Jerry has gone full delusional at this point, sad to watch.:(

Zeke loses 10 pounds
Zeke is his old self again
Zeke looks decent for 3-4 weeks
Zeke looks a little slower off the ball in week 5
Zeke suddenly has nagging injury rendering him less effective
Jerry insists we use Zeke up the middle
Cowboys miss division title

Well he's technically right. Team plays it's best football behind the run game. Leaning on Dak to put up gawdy numbers hasn't been the key to success.

Teams and players every year still mock the cowboys passing publicly. Soo many saying the key to the game was shutting down the run game and having Dak "beat" them.

However....Jerry is still stuck in the 90s. RB won't win you superbowls nowadays even though we play the best ball behind the run game. If Jerry has this mentality why not upgrade certain positions on the OL if its sooo important? Why then pay Dak as the second highest QB at the time? Jerry all over the place.

You win game in the trenches. RB dime a dozen nowadays.

Now if this isn't an insult to your franchise QB I have no idea what is????

Was Troy Aikman was a bus driver to you? There is a stat that suggests Dak needs 100 yards on the ground to win. But back in the 90's a stat suggested Emmitt had to get 20 rushes for Dallas to win. Sounds like the same statistical suggestions to me.

And to those that say the game has changed...my question is how? How has it changed? Do the still allow only eleven players on the field at once? Well then, sounds like things are the same now, as they were back then.

All you have to do is ask yourself how those 90's Cowboys, 49ers and even Bills teams would fare in today's game.. One they would absolutely b-slap these 240-250 pound defensive ends teams are trotting out there to rush the passer. Two, receivers like Irvin, Rice and Reed with QBs like Aikman, Young and Kelly would feast in this era of "Can't touch this" defense. All three would threaten 2000 yards annually as would guys like Lofton and Sharpe. Lastly, their defenses with all that speed at every level and especially the Cowboys with their amazing 8 man rotation on the front four would embarrass today's offensive lines which emphasize being big but often at the expense of athleticism. Offensive line play around the league is at all time low right now and the emphasis on putting fat dudes out there just because they're really big is the main reason why.

People who dislike Zeke and/or Jerry ignore the very simple but very real fact that most times when we lean on that guy we win. Like > 80% of the time. But I don't think Moore will ever lean on Zeke or any running back consistently.. and that makes me weep for our team.

Part of me thinks that when Jerry talks about Zeke "going" he is implicitly including the o-line.. as there simply is no Zeke going without it.. Jerry just don't talk so good these days..

Here in Dallas, it's the end of the season for us and we're doomed when we lose our LT.
Wonder why that is????:muttley:

He said the same when Emmitt was here, Troy was not offended.
Please don't put in the same sentence a 3 time-winning Superbowl QB with Prescott.....dang simply insults the game of football!!!!
I know you feel bad that our owner told the world how little faith he has in his 160 million $ QB esp in today's passing league NFL........but when the performance and results are not what's been paid for well you get the idea.....then again maybe you don't? :muttley:
Your Complaints to Jerry......;)....
