Jerry Jones: “It’s still a fact, we go as Zeke goes.”

Actually, Garrett's priority when he first took over as coach was to rebuild the offensive line. He did a good job of it.

Jerry and dopey Stephen seem to be the only guys in the room that don't understand it.
I agree. Garret pushed for Tyron and Martin. As the offensive line disintegrates so does our chances of real success. Jerry and dummy just don't see it. They want to sell jerseys. As bad as Garrett was on game day he did have some positive impact on the roster.

If you guys remember....our 2016 was a good year and we did basically go as zeke did. No wait...hang on there! Calm down.

It's true...we wont; see a 2016 zeke ever again. We don;t have too....he can still be effective and deadly...especially moving chains in the tough yards and time of possession. Keep the defense off the field!

It is also true...you GOT to have an offensive line. It's true for every RB. You have GOT to be able to run up the middle.

We were are best in the Dak years with a healthy Zeke.....AND O-line.

I say we go as the o-line goes but have some discernment on what's zeke's fault and what isn't. When he has to sidestep right out the gate...that's a negatory there. HE can protect our precious dak, still good in the passing game, especially as a Dak bailout. Cut zeke some slack I mean he's here anyway....you gonna be a miserable peach about it ALL year long?

Jerry...it is indeed the oline.

And what has Jerry ignored?

Well, that's something we've all just learned haha. And the worst of it is that he seems fixated that the only way that an oline can be built is with 1st round picks. Rubbish! If you can find a franchise QB in the 4th, you can find adequate linemen there. Doug Free was a 4th round pick, and, other than penalties, was a decent OT. Instead of wasting second round picks on projects, he could've been using that round to find olinemen that slipped out of the first. Instead of Kelvin Joseph, he could've gotten a top olineman who just missed out on the first round. But no, he has to think he's clever, when all he's doing is driving Dak into a massive oak tree.
Right. Sitting here today I'd much rather have an adequate offensive T than Kelvin Joseph. Instead of going for substance we go with a rehabilitation projects in the 2nd round every year. It sucks. And you would think Jerry would figure this out. A delusional narcissist is a scary person.

Now if this isn't an insult to your franchise QB I have no idea what is????

Coach Jerry speaks, MM has his instructions from above. I feel bad for Dak and can’t believe Jerry would say something like this, sad commentary on Jerry.

Not only that, let's look at the 2nd round picks goin back to 2016.

2016 - Jaylon Smith - What a disaster that was! Insanely idiotic. A LT for depth would've been nice here. That said, the oline was fine, so maybe not a big miss.
2017 - Chidobe Awuzie - actually, a good player for the Bengals. Not a bad choice here, but horribly misused here.
2018 - Connor Williams - how delicious would Brian O'Neil from the Vikings have been here? He went to the Pro Bowl in 2021. Very good player, and he was picked later in the same round. But no, we go with Connor Williams who was a project.
2019 - Trystan Hill - He's coming around now, but, for a year where we had no 1st round pick, this was rather stupid. In fairness, this was a weak oline draft. 2020 - Trevon Diggs - Brilliant pick
2021 - Kelvin Joseph - see my post earlier.

Jerry had at least two years here where a second round pick would've been better used on an olineman. This would have likely meant that Tyron's injury would be easily mitigable. Yet, as usual, Jerry waited too long.

I don't he took us to the cleaners with his agent and never looked back.

As a owner you don’t do this to the face of the franchise a QB you just paid elite money to, even if you as a fan can’t stand Dak you have to agree this is a bad look all around.

Slap in the face by Jerry but can you blame the man?

I really wish Jerry would hire some great talent evaluators
Let them evaluate other nfl players and then sign a few middle or upper tier free agents.

It over in 3 more seasons contract wise but Jerry will not admit he was wrong look for a extension late next season. You know it’s the likely outcome, I’m not nuts about it but I’m a realist and Jerry is a ego maniac who is never wrong in his warped mind so just reading the past tea leaves it’s going to happen.

I honestly am concerned for Dak about his livelihood. He's playing for an owner who doesn't plan for disasters, and this team is primed for a disaster that could cost Dak a lot more than his leg injury in 2020 with how poorly protected he looks like he will be.
Do not believe Jones and even DNA Kid #1 think like you do. Jones plans for roster disasters. Jones believes he has implemented correct contingencies for future mishaps. This has been his mindset for decades. It is a narcissistic mindset that mandates bad outcomes are failures created by others or consequences outside ANY general manager's control.

This is the reason why he does not regard annual shortcomings related to roster acquisitions or coaching tenures as his general managership miscalculations. He would have accepted qualified managerial changes to enhance the probability of different positive outcomes if that were true, just like vast majority of business owners have ever done in every type of industry.

Many business owners have large egos. They do not allow their large egos to permanently manage their businesses if they incur a deficit of some type. Many business owners turn to someone else to do what they could not. This is why some people think of Jones and mistakenly believe his main problem is a normal sized large ego. What is lost in the evaluation of Jones is that many business owners have an ego the size of a chicken egg, while his ego is the size of a beach ball.
