Jerry Jones, bring Cowboys training camp back to San Antonio, Texas

And? At least they stayed within the same time zone.
And many teams travel for camp. It could be for many reasons. Get away from home and bond, weather, money and fans in other parts of the country. It's not a big deal.

The facility in Frisco, TX, their HQ, is more than adequate for training camp, far more adequate than Oxnard. They should hold camp there and put an end to the traveling road show. But we all know how Jerry loves his circus atmosphere, so don't bank on any changes.
Training camp can/should not be held at your regular training grounds. All professional clubs and even most amateur clubs travel away for training camp. We also always did it once per year and we got (almost) no money for doing our sport.

Anyone who's ever done competitive team sports knows, that TC is not just about doing exercises and drills.

Here in California we're over what Jerry Jones is selling. We're around Rams and 49ers fans whose teams have actually done something, and we deal with the fall out. It comes from everyone including friends, family and coworkers. Were tored of this crap. May be if you fans in Texas kinda followed suit and stopped buying in then things might change, but look at this post. "Jerry bring them to SA so you can sell out".
Hope Jerry brings training camp back to Texas. Y'all don't deserve having the Cowboys show up there anymore. Y'all get them every year, yet now you decide to act out like spoiled children and not show up and support? Pfft!

Good riddance to you unappreciative California fake fans. Go follow another team!!!

Austin and Wichita Falls were the absolute worst places for training camp. It was a challenge of who could survive the heat damn trying to actually install a defensive and offensive system.
That's factually incorrect... But if for some reason they moved it back to Austin or another hot location, you'd be the first one cheerleading it.

Son and I did the San Antonio training camp. It was super. We walked to practice from the hotel. River Walk, BBQ and great Mexican food. Parcell was the coach. Romo and Wittens rookie year. Damn it was fun.

I agree we are the only dumb team that has training camp halfway across the country. Jerry has to realize we are not relevant in California anymore
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've said this same thing for years now, like what's the point, it's nothing but a show off. Isn't texas big enough somewhere for us to stay there and have our own fans come see us, instead of traveling all over the country to have practice

Okay -- I live in San Antonio and might be likely to attend the practices there, for a nominal fee, of course!!
On the other hand, if Jerry got overly greedy and decided to charge much too much, then forget about it!

Agreed. I went to Cowboys training camps in San Antonio in 2002, 2003, 2010 and 2011 (missed out on 2009). Every one of them was fun and always packed with fans.

2010 Cowboys Training Camp - San Antonio, Texas

This whole temperature thing is overblown. For God's sake the Dolphins still have TC in Miami, Florida......is there any place hotter and more humid than that location?

Just build an Indoor practice facility in TX and be done with it

Why would they do that when they have the excellent weather and facilities in Oxnard?
