So, the guys sitting at their computer at home are not only better qualified than Jerry, but also Will McClay and the entire scouting and coaching staffs? Come on.

Our drafts have actually been pretty darn good for some time now. Obviously that doesn't mean every pick, and of course there have been mistakes, but you don't judge drafts base on the expectation of perfection, you judge on overall affect over time.

Besides, many of those screaming about mistakes are doing so with hindsight, and often when making choices in advance we would find over time those picks would have been bad. We just don't keep a tally because there are way too many opinions to track, and fans have no accountability when they are wrong.

When you look at who was on the board. Especially the Hill, Smith and Schoon years. Nevermind Joseph. Its sickening. Its jerrys round to play.

Would they have taken Cam Jurgens, Jalen Reagor, Sidney Jones. Derek Barnett, Marcus Smith or Eric Rowe? These are some of the Eagles 1st & 2nd rounders the last 10 years that ended up a waste of a high pick. Do you think Eagle fans all agreed with them all at the time?

Nobody has a perfect track record, and that includes posters on this site. That's just not how the draft works.

Admitting when he has faults is fine, but that doesn't change the fact that he has made a lot of bad choices, just like Jerry has, and every team has. That's the nature of the draft. .

Also, Jerry having an ego and not admitting faults wasn't the context of the discussion. The context was whether a typical fan sitting at home in front of a computer is better qualified to be the GM.
