LOL! Jerry is all about these meaningless wins.
Even the last game won in December and no playoffs in sight enables you to continue evaluating players who play hard and smart or crappy. Every regular season game counts in order to get you to the playoffs or puts you in worse or better draft position. The Cowboys broke their losing streak and the players and coaches were quite excited.

A game that was 10-9 going into the 4th qtr and it was 13-9 with 7 min left. Jerry’s now selling snake oil that this team is not as putrid as it smells.

Our offense scored 20 points against a defense then ranked 18th overall and 32 against the run. We had two TD drives - one was 80 yards and the other was 44 yards after a fumble we recovered. The two kickoff returns skewed the score quite a bit at the end.

Forget the 82 year old salesman. This is a bad football team. And he’s the architect.
So the HC who has coached a 4-7 record who has coached uninspired play, unprepared players, blowout losses, penalty prone team and a poor offense and defense and who’s team is now identified by a kicker is in Jerry’s mind worth considering for a extension? Did MM sleep over again and tell Jerry he knows how to win SBs. Jerry staying in the news cycle. If this happens commitment paperwork should be filed by Stevie to send Jerry to the funny farm.

Jerry is wishfully hoping MM & team might undergo an amazing recovery that saves him the hassle of rebuilding. Good luck with that idea.
This isn't the first time he's made such attempts that, in the past, have proven unproductive. I fully expect to see this end in the same manner.
Incredibly, Jerry's still in denial of being the main culprit of his team's demise. Of course, Stephen helped, also -- due credit to all contributors.

So just because the team showed some heart winning in Washington now all is forgiven? What about the home blowout losses. What about looking absolutely unprepared against GB.

The standard for this team has become awful the past 10-15 years, just because we "didn't quit". that's good enough for a contract extension now? If Jerry extends MM that may be the dumbest thing he's done over the past 30 years, and that would be saying a lot.

This is jerry trying to keep fans engaged in a year that has little hope for a playoff appearance and none for a playoff win.

Look, I don't hate Big Mac as much as some of you do, but it's time to move on. We've seen what we've seen with him and it's time for a fresh reset and new regime in the locker room (not that it matters in Dallas, but at least it's change).

If Jerry really does bring him back, it may be the final deathblow to my fandom.......at least until Jerry expires.

Yep, I can already see the "injury excuse" getting warmed up in the bull pen............Only way I am happy with this is if the alternative is Zimmer.

You give me a choice between Fat Mike and Zimmy for head coach, I got to go with Fat Mike.

So, if that is the options we are looking at, yeah just run it back.
If you gave me a choice between more MM or Zimmer for 2025 Head Coach....I'd become a big college football fan. and possibly Cricket, too.

McCarthy or Zimmer will be next seasons head coach. It is a pick your poison scenario :banghead:

Everybody needs to remember the fact that Jerry is a very busy man. He doesnt have time to put blinds in the windows. He also doesn't have time to hire a new coach. You ask yourself why that is? It's simple. It takes away from the 6 months of yacht time that the Joneses have to have.

Jerry really, plane and simple is an ***. What a horrible way to treat your HC, or any person. Fire him, keep him, but don’t drag someone along.

Well, he needs to read the room, because it is not giving hope. It's further demoralizing most fans who know that McCarthy needed to be fired in the off season. Threatening to keep him isn't giving hope, but more despair.

I'm personally a big fan of the big reset but that includes blowing up the entire organization. I have no faith in the Jones Klan hiring the next Jimmy Johnson type that can run the show. I'm afraid that MM is as good as it will ever get for Jerry and his stupid kid.
