CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
He has to be looking at Elijah Moore which will cost at least a 2nd rounder or OBJ on a short term 1-2 year deal

Next, Jones spoke with a smaller group of reporters that included CowboysSI.com's Mike Fisher and got more specific, saying, "We don't have an area on our team that makes me desperate. But I'm willing to do it - and I'll give up future currency to get it done.''

And finally, Jones to Fish as the owner headed to his AT&T Stadium suite to celebrate: "We are evaluating the fit. I promise you I will pull the trigger (if the right deal presents itself). I've told you I'm still a wild-catter. I'm still a risk-taker.

Yes Jerry, we know you're a risk taker. We seen the pictures. :muttley:

Uh ooooh. When Jerry gets an itchy trigger finger with high draft picks and WRs-- we've seen how it usually doesn't end well.
It's more like roulette than risk taking.

Walk your talk Jerry.

Prove it it and stop yapping about it.

Otherwise you're a penny pinching coward like your son.

I dont see a first round pick type guy out there. DJ Moore is probably the most valuable player on the market, and he is probably worth a #2.

Although Roquan Smith would cost a 1st if the Bears were shopping him

Roquan Smith won't cost a 1st imo.

Say whatever you want about Jerral Wayne Jones; there's only one owner in the NFL with more Super Bowls on his resume'.

All the hatred towards them about the cap is silly, because we want to maintain our base players.. keep adding to it, like the rotation on the defensive line.

Once we unload Zeke's contract, or restructure him, we'll be in good shape as a team. There are a couple of other things that will keep us under the cap next year, so we can make another run.

Why blow your wad on a single year when you can be competitive for several and possibly win multiple championships down the line?

I know some will say I'm getting ahead of myself. OK, that's fine. But it's always about gambling, no matter what you do.

You could spend all your money . . . and still not win.

Anyway, the more I listen to Fish compared to others in the media, the more I like him.

Is there anyone in the league, regardless of contract or no contract, who would be worth giving up a first rounder on the off chance that he's the one piece we need?
Id give up a 1st for Mahomes or Allen and just like that our run defense wouldnt be a problem.

o b j might might take less just to be in the spotlight.

Maybe. Because he can make this season count for himself, or he can sit out. If he goes to a team with a chance to win, he can make a lot more in endorsements.

I still don't like the OBJ move, though. It'll cost too much in the future, more than likely.

Just make the phone call jerry, and quit showing everyone your cards.
Jerry will talk himself into giving up a 1st.
I would add a Kareem Hunt for a 4th, but Jerry would pay much more.

He should also say, "I still have a big mouth." If he's out there trying to make a deal for another player, he only undermines himself by talking to the press about it.

I need one of those red buttons that some company sells where you press it and it says, "That was easy," except mine will say, "Shut up, Jerry."
How....

Dude had 12 tackles today as a DT
Yes he did, but are the Panthers shopping him?
Or better question is why would they be shopping him and for what price,,, they just spent a 1st round pick, 7th overall on him in 2020.

well if they would have won Sunday, they would have been in first place, they had no ideal they would be in the thick of things by now because everyone thought TB would run away with the division after holding us to 3 points. So he might not be available since things are tight now but I would call because there is no one in the draft better at the spot you HOPE to be picking at for sure.
