well if they would have won Sunday, they would have been in first place, they had no ideal they would be in the thick of things by now because everyone thought TB would run away with the division after holding us to 3 points. So he might not be available since things are tight now but I would call because there is no one in the draft better at the spot you HOPE to be picking at for sure.
I understand, I would role a 1st for Brown in a heartbeat, but was just wondering if the Panthers had been shopping Brown and why his name was being mentioned.
Brown is a beast, and would change this DL immidiately.

I wonder what cap boy is thinking about all this. LOL

One of the false narratives that loves to be banded around (including by the man himself) is that Jerry is a risk taker and likes to gamble. In actual fact the opposite is the reality. When Jerry has made disastrous moves in the past (Galloway and Roy Williams) he doesn't see them as gambles at the time, else he would not make the moves. He doesn't take risks in free-agency and very rarely in the early rounds of drafts (Which overall has been the correct strategy). With head coaching as we know he would be the last person to take a chance on a promising College Coach.

Jerry is very conservative.

I was listening to the radio and one of the hosts of the show stated he followed Jerry after the press conference at the end of the Bears game and asked this.

Since the NFC is wide open, would you (meaning Jerry) step out of character and go all in.

Jerry said yes. With the way the NFC is shaking down this year, he would be amenable to using future currency to put a championship team on the field.

Take that as you will. I just heard it when I was out shagging tacos.

P.S. Dear Jerry, do not go to your grave without winning another Lombardi...thanks, TwoDeep3

Yes, multiple threads on this. Stephen is also on record saying they’re interested in getting better. They will make a trade. That is clear.

If going all in means giving up a high draft pick he won’t be doing that. If he knew the team was going to be as good as it has been, he likely wouldn’t have made the decisions he did at WR. Philly did everything necessary to build a solid football team during the offseason and now they’ve acquired Robert Quinn. it’s clear they’re going all in.

They’ve already made a trade I wouldn’t get your hopes up that they’ll make another one before the deadline. it’s possible they could bring back Cedric Wilson.

Too much smoke. They will make a trade. I’m 90% certain.

Cap boy has always said that and I quote "We are always looking for ways to get better it's a 365 days a year deal". I do think they might make a trade but probably not at the splash level we are thinking.

That’s not the same. I didn’t say anything about a splash

If they do I wouldn’t count on it being someone that’s going to excite a lot of fans. The run stuffer they just traded for didn’t pay any dividends on Sunday. The Joneses aren’t looking to spend a lot of money on anyone.

You all have to remember that putting together a Super Bowl team is equally as hard or easy, depending on how you look at it for every team in the league. You can’t stack the deck like you did during the 90s. It’s illegal. Lol Jerry has just as much chance to put together a Super Bowl winning team as any other team in the league does with the exception of some GM’s seemingly being smarter than the others. But as the rules are now, it’s equal for all teams.

The biggest draw that the Cowboys had that they haven’t taken advantage of is that they are the Cowboys themselves. Historically you’re a much bigger star at the same caliber playing for the Cowboys then you would be in the other team in the league but even that advantage has faded. And it’s a peel has faded.

I think just a way of saying he's open to business if someone wants to make a deal.

How it turns out is unknown. But that is what came out of Jerry's mouth.

Why not shut up and just do it. Why tell the world you're willing to part with high picks. An opposing team ok with giving up a player for a 3rd may ask you for your 2nd because apparently you're all in. There is absolutely nothing to gain from saying this.
This…times 1,000. Don’t talk Jerry…Just do it.
