Wait. Is McClay responsible for bringing in Ben Bass?

I don't want egg on my face here.

This is a quote from a few weeks back, right? I suppose it might be responsible for the Linehan/Marinelli directives, but I'm not holding my breath. This is the sort of throwaway comment it's easy to make, but harder to believe he'll go through with in any measurable way.

I agree. Jerra might half been drinking and we all know that promises he make at parties do not necessarily come into fructition.

LOL!

Heck no... he's not stepping down BUT what if they (the Jones' clan) brought in a respected talented finder/builder and gave him a title and position where he (this person) was only responsible for Jerry? Would that be an improvement?

Sure, until year 3 when Jed and the clan run off said talent.

I've suggested this in the recent past. It's something nobody seems to talk about. It's either Jerry's the GM or he steps down. What if he brings in a personnel "consultant" to basically do the GM job while massaging Jerry's ego?

Is this possible? I have no idea.

In some Cowboy circles they will tell you Will McClay has quietly stepped into that role.

it took him nearly 2 decades to realize this? I doubt anything changes. It's easy to say, but I'll believe it when he's not always in the news, he's not undermining his head coach, and he hires a GM.

All I picture is smeagol (owner JJ) looking at his reflection in the water arguing with his alter ego Gollum (gm JJ) "We wants it. We needs it. Must have the precious". Gollum fires back,"JJohnson stole it from us and I must get back at the Jimster at the expense of the fans which is with me, me, me as the Master".

Oh and my humblest apologies to both Smeagol and Gollum for using them as examples in the lowest form of life. I'm sure their both long time Zoners. No offense guy(s).

Jerry Jones looks in the sky mirror and says.. I need to dig deeper and intrench myself even more, help me sky mirror you're my only hope. Sky mirror gives a sign, it shows the ghost of Jimmy Johnson.

Tried that. Dan Reeves. Didn't even get a locker assignment for Reeves before Jones screwed that pooch.

I need to see it to believe it. He just has to understand that even if he hires a GM, and another one if that doesn't work out, and just stay out of it, if he wins, he'll still get all the credit.
