McClay is creditted for selling Jerry on Travis Frederick, Terrance Williams, and JJ Wilcox, in addition to finding George Selvie. Jerry apparently trust his instincts. He leapfrogged Ciskowski in the pecking order.
How did he "find" George Selvie? Oh, saw his name on the waiver wire and plucked a body. Isn't that what a good pro personnel person is going to do? And since when should two fairly decorated seniors like Frederick and Williams need to be sold? It is not like he found them dunking basketballs at Emporia State. As for Wilcox, I would be hesistant to make that a feather in the cap.
All in all, I hope he is as good as advertised. But from what I have read from Broaddus, he is less "confrontational" and plays the politics better. Is that what Jerry Jones needs?
