Jerry Jones not ready to address Dez's future

Other than the fact that Landry is not fast, he is a better all around WR than Dez at this point. Can actually run routes.

He does his damage in the slot. Might as well cut the midget in Bease too. Seriously.

Today is one of the first games where I felt had Dez not played, we would have won. When we have to force it to him it goes bad 50% of the time.

Me too. It was also the first time that I'm fully comfortable with cutting bait with him. He's been given EVERY opportunity to grow up and millions of dollars. He's owed nothing more IMO. Good luck Dez.

Switzer had a huge catch radius in college. I wonder why he was never in the offense, other than the fake jet sweep.

Maybe Dez actually wants out so he can play with a more prolific passer

So be it...win/win I suppose.

How do you know?

I don't KNOW he'd light it up in the CFL.... Just speculation.:kind of what we do on the internet Bob. LOFL. (I DO know he can't play at the NFL level. He simply doesn't have the size or speed) Seahags were rag dolling him yesterday and clowning him to boot. Kid is in over his head.

I'd like to see a Head Coach that rants and raves.
I'd like to see a Head Coach with an effective, creative game plan.
The Cowboys have run a vanilla offensive for decades, harkening back to when Ray Lewis and company would laugh at us because they knew the plays we were running.
For once, I'd like to have a coach who made the other team say, "Oh, .... I didn't see that play coming."
I think it was damning when Tony Romo the analyst said that Garrett wasn't an X and O guy but a rah, rah coach.
If we want a rah, rah guy, let's hire a male cheerleader. But if we want an innovative offense, we'd better hire someone like Josh McDaniels or we're going to be in the same spot next year and the year after that and the year after that.

Dez’s drops yesterday and fumble are totally on him. However he will never reach his full potential nor will any WR with a mobile version of Trent Dilfer at QB.

Dez and Dak just are not a good match. Dez gets frustrated early by not getting the ball and then lets it affect him the rest of the game.

If there is one thing Jerry loves more than anything, its his money.

He aint paying Dez $12.5 next year when he cant even get 100 yards anymore................its either paycut or release, no other option at this point.

I predict a release, Dez is too much of a hot head to admit he sucks and take a paycut.

It's the garbage system this offense runs on, the scheme sucks and lack of adjustments from the coaching staff have enabled them to become what they are, a .500 team. Nothing but average. Just like T.O said, you would have to rebuild this entire system in order to focus or highlight one player. They try to get cute and get everyone at the buffett table and you have 6th string players involved.. That philosophy is the worst.. Play your best players and have them make the plays you need in order to win at a high level vs good teams.

Did Dez have a bad game? Yes, because they lied to him and said they're going to get him the football early and never did, then he got so frustrated he lost it. The guy is pure alpha and a winner. I don't blame Dez at all. This coaching staff is terrible and should be fired..It did the Rams wonder after they kicked Fisher to the curb.

When Jerry hired Linehan it was specifically to utilize the playmaker Dez like he did with CJ in Detroit, along with running the ball.

And the bet next year with Romo, Dez had his best year.

Problem for Jerry is Romo isn’t here, because he agreed as a GM to one of the worst decisions in franchise history..

I'd take the 37 year old injury prone Romo over that hot Dak garbage any day. Dak would have been a perfect backup. Should have let Tony play in playoffs last year and brought him back this year at 37.

Exactly...

Dak when he finally gets benched, will be the ideal backup for any team and can hammer out a nice niche there, making lots of money.

He’s perfect for it...

Because they had a really good offense last year. Rather than adding Switzer to it proactively to make it more potent, they did what they always do, get complacent

I think Dak has more confidence in TWill than he does in Dez.

No need to have Switzer and Beasley on the same roster IMO. Go with the kid. Beasley is one blow up hit away from done.

Bring in some new people at WR

Let Rush throw the rock around this weekend and let Dak ride the sideline with a headset

Dez will go somewhere else and be a monster. He needs a qb that can anticipate throws and be accurate.

What we need is speed wrs that get wiiiide open for Dak. Thats our future.
