We need to win,” Jones said last week after a training-camp practice. “We need to continue to build this foundation we have right now. The No. 1 thing from this point forward is to win a Super Bowl. We can’t rest on our laurels as a team. I sure can’t rest on any laurels in my position. When I look at opportunities ahead for the future, I see a brighter future ahead for the team as well as the NFL. I see more opportunities than I did 29 years ago. I want to be a part of it. I’m going to be very active.”

Well for the first time in a long long time, the organization seems to be building momentum and heading down the right path.

Getting unbelievably lucky with Dak has propped us up for the next 5+ years where we can keep building on the foundation we have instead of continually searching for Romo's replacement.

The next 5 years, we should have as good a chance as anybody to compete for the championship!

Hope for sale......get it while it's hot.

FTR - At least with Jethro finally conceding he has ruined this for 25+ years Dallas stands a chance at being consistent. NOT 8-8 consistent either..

Here's to moving FORWARD, finally.

Thank you Football God........

All it took was a gold jacket and he is now motivated?

Wonder what this outfit would have done for him and the team?

Well, so much for Jerry taking a lesser role.

I do think this gives Jerry momentum. Stephan maybe needs to bend little here so Dallas can get aggressive this off-season in FA but there is no doubt the Jones see wide open window to big dance with Dak & Zeke.

Here's an interesting 2016 offensive stat I'm betting many fans didn't know ......

c. Dallas led the league with 8.2 yards per pass and 11.2 average yards after the catch on passes thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Even without Ezekiel Elliott's 83-yard touchdown against Pittsburgh, the Cowboys still would have ranked third

This is just Jerry being Jerry he's not just an owner now he's a Hall of Fame owner and it will go to his head no telling what he'll do.
no telling what this really
means .
Jerry thinks every year is a Superbowl year !
now to me their first goal should be just too get past the divisional round.

Oh God no. Whatever has been going on, in the draft room, for the last few years, is 180 degrees different and successful then Jones's first 29 years. Please don't let Jerry get active again. I'm too old to restart the clock.
