Jerry likes those mics after blowouts.Against a bottom 3 team, wow.

You are gloriously talented at supporting success and being insulted at the same time for continual progress. We already know about Santa Clause...you going to mock him also for saying, 'Ho, ho, ho?'Thanks Jerry!
Astute observation!
Let's follow this as the season progresses from game to game...I hope he can play like this in the playoffs
That was really the crying song as no real talent apparently showed it's head yesterday. I myself, aren't dependent upon insulting Jerry or the team. They are now 6-3 now. Yet some fans are so damn sophisticated and full of unrevocable wisdoms. And this is exactly where your talent at general manager comes into play recognize exactly who and what you need to get over the top and go all out push your chips to the center of the table shoot the works and make the tough decisions to get who you need to get you over the top.
Our division rival the eagles are a perfect example they have rebuilt their whole team won one super bowl and gone to another while we have been sitting on our hands.
You flat out can't have a general manager whose job does not depend on assembling a team that will go to the super bowl Jerry has no consequences for his failures so we continue to fail to assemble a team that is competitive at that level.
This leads me to believe that it's more important to Jerry to stay relative every year than to win a super bowl one year and risk obscurity for a little while
Unfortunately there is no quarterback or coach no matter how much they get paid that can make up for Jerry's lack of talent at general manager
The way Dak is playing and dealing with the pressure of being the quarterback of America’s team, Todd France will be asking for the richest contract in NFL history. Dak will play out his contract next season and probably hit free agency. I could see him maybe making a small deal that will shrink his cap hit but make him a free agent in 2025.The extension is coming, rightfully so.
Hope Dak gives the Cowboys a little discount.
Let's wait until JanuaryLet the extension comments (for or against) start to flow...
Did everyone watch the Philly game and the 49er game?I have to disagree, my brother. I think it's not "rightfully so" until we see his playoff performance. I'm not a fan of regular season warriors since the goal is the Super Bowl
he another confused soul who puts stock in wins as a QB statDid everyone watch the Philly game and the 49er game?
Yep, but as we know if it's a short deal we need to still add the deferred bonus ($25m 2024, $36m 2025). The other issue is that Dak's due to receive $34m salary in 2024.The way Dak is playing and dealing with the pressure of being the quarterback of America’s team, Todd France will be asking for the richest contract in NFL history. I bet that's what France is looking at. The problem is probably want it as a signing bonus which will result in the CAP outlay being spread across the length of the contract (and any Void years).I can see a 5yr, 275M contract for Dak. Jerry loves his QB. Dak will get it all guaranteed with a no trade clause.
The best conclusions should be taken from examining EVERYTHING Jerry Jones says and has said about any given topic. His Jerryspeak can be a chore to follow but he has been reasonably consistent from day one, especially when that topic is the quarterback position.Funny how people think Jerry says smart things when it fits their point of view. Me I discount what Jerry says, no matter what side he takes.
In other words, the Eagles and Cowboys structure their QB's contract differently. The Cowboys QB contracts are structured to allow future extensions if needed or put another way, like a line of credit (lol). But Hurts' contract is structured in a way to give 4 years under a low CAP hit (still only taking up 10% in 2026) around which they can build a team. The problem is that the Jones' have deferred the CAP payments on Dak's contract to a scenario where the CAP hit on the next extension is going to be severe from Yr 1.
Just like Jerrah backs the #1 QB Spot 100%, he will also back the Head Coach 100% publicly until it is time to cut them. I mean we seen it with the Clapping Carrot and other coaches going back to the 90's. Heck, he loves to talk about how he would've loved to have given Chan Gaily more of a chance and that guy wasn't a good fit here. His offense for instance didn't quite gel with Aikman and his record wasn't to write home about. What you get when you get a bargain bin choice for the job I guess. The best conclusions should be taken from examining EVERYTHING Jerry Jones says and has said about any given topic. His Jerryspeak can be a chore to follow but he has been reasonably consistent from day one, especially when that topic is the quarterback position.
Jones remains steadfast in your corner if-and-until a better option is within his control. Some people have always mistakenly believed in 'a better option' according to how they themselves think or what a typical front office executive thinks will be considered by him.
Jones has backed Dak Prescott 100% since late October 2016. Prescott's career with Dallas was pretty much set right then and there as far as Jones was concerned. Some folks (like myself) have continually mentioned this strong possibility every year since. However, the misconception that Jones will think like they think or how he should think about drafting quarterbacks, contracts, etc., lives on. The perception will not die, so the unending, year-to-year personal astonishment will not die either.
The only microphone, Jones does not like, is one stuck in his face whenever a question about his decision-making, that he does not want to answer, is thrown at him.Jerry likes those mics after blowouts.
Me too.I hope he can play like this in the playoffs
