Yeah because there are a boat load of QB out there just waiting. Maybe they forgot the 1-800 -QB phone number BP would talk about. lol Accountability? God you are truly a joke. lol
We get it you hate the coaches you hate Jerry and you only open your mouth when they have an issue during 6-1 stretch you pretty much had nothing to offer.

Sorry, that the truth hurts
When the team plays well I have no problem giving credit to both Jerry and the coaching staff
That does not mean we can't think rationally and question a bad decision

I have learned when it comes to the Cowboys not to worry about the playoffs until they make the playoffs.

Truth who yours? lol
Because the backup QB played poorly well hell then Dallas is pretty much in the same boat as a lot of teams, As Mayock pointed out last night there are not 32 true starting QB in this league and when talking backups there are fewer. Weeden did a decent job subbing in the skins game and played poorly in the arz game what he may or may not do in the future is anyone guess.

tell us who you thought we should have signed, that we actually could have signed, to be the backup. there are'nt quality backups all over the nfl to sign

Once again with the "quality back up" strawman. We needed someone who could come in and play fit a half or a game or 2 with a decent chance to win

Keep Orton
Sign Sanchez or McCoy

Clearly after watching Weeden the whole off season and during several weeks the coaches and FO should have come up with a better plan

I am sure there were other options if the FO actually did their homework

This is the deal with Weeden. He was awful in Cleveland. Fine ok "it's Cleveland."

He did ok in a pinch against the garbage Commanders.

He had a full week of practice for the Cardinal game & from what I read couldn't hit the side of a barn in that game. Frustrated receivers. Had an abysmal game against a quality team and defense.

We're not going anywhere with a guy like that. He's not a good NFL QB. He never was.

Manning/Luck obviously doesnt count. Montana/Young was 25 years ago. So basically two qb.s have been groomed in the last quarter century?

My examples were only meant to show how handy it is, and that you don't skip a beat if you replace a good QB with another good QB.

I'm sure there are other examples. Those were just the most glaring off the top of my head.

We need to start looking now.

Gotta love the optimism.

I think we draft a QB in the 3rd this offseason, and carry 3 on the roster until Romo retires.

I do think a lot of rookie QB's suffer because they go to bad teams and don't have the convenience of waiting a year or two to really learn the system and how to achieve success in the NFL at the QB position. As a result, they lose confidence or get happy feet in the pocket which can destroy an NFL career.

With our OL, and the convenience of already having a top tier QB starting and able to show the younger guys the ropes/film study, etc, you'd think it'd be perfect environment for the inevitable transition. But I'd definitely start this offseason.

Staubach/White comes to mind.
I agree with you, it just rarely happens

Who made the decision to go into the season with Weeden as the back up to a 30+ year old QB with 2 back surgeries ?

Once again, no accountability

"The coaches HAD to go with him because he was the back up"

Well, why was he the back up?

And if the coaches couldn't tell how bad he was going to be "after watching him practice daily " then i guess watching players in practice daily should not be used as a crutch when talking to fans who question some coaching decisions

Their tried to get Orton to stay and he out waited them.
What gives me more and more pleasure is watching the haters piss and moan about Garrett and Jones.
Those guys are here and you guys obsess. its great

The ironic thing about this whole thing is Dallas wasn't even looking for Romo. They lucked into him via Sean Payton and him being from the same alma mater. Based upon how this organization is pulling QBs off the street and in the draft, things are not looking grand.
