Understood, but, imo, people should be able to comment about Owens without any replies automatically having to imply that the observer "wants Owens gone without compensation".

leave it up to jerry to defend him. our franchise was tarnished the day jerry signed him.

And many present and departed Cowboys have also turned in tarnishing performances.

Has T.O. been in jail? It's his personality some don't like, but that is a double standard. Look around. Many teams have players that make T.O. -- and even Irvin -- saint-like.

Let's review some of Owens' statements following Hall's allegations of the spitting incident that "never happened":

Could you provide a link to Hall's statements that he made up the whole thing? I don't believe that his acceptance of Owens' apology (which Owens practically denies in his comments following his apology) can be considered a refutation of his claim. Perhaps I'm wrong. Link away.

Has the league reversed or lowered it's $35,000 fine it levied onto Owens for Hall's lie? Link?

Is a lie really a lie if no one outside of those indicted by the lie can prove that it didn't happen? Owens believes so; and apparently, so do you.

Well, Owens was embarrassing Hall. That's not questionable. Whether he (e.g. Deangelo Hall) 'stretched the truth' and it has been 'proven' that he did stretch the truth is. Something I'm certain that you'll be able to prove.

I respect your personal wish to narrow Owens down to just his time in a Cowboys uniform. That's cool.

I, OTOH, will consider Owens the person and football player (as Bleu Star would say) past, present and future.
