Dak holds all the cards and there are at least five teams that will overpay to get him. Both of the teams you mentioned would be very interesting w Dak under center!
Too late for Miami.

There's one scenario that could cause Jerry to wait until after the season to decide on paying Dak. That is if Dak is asking for money similar to what he'd get in FA.

Dak is worth whatever a team will pay him, regardless of what anyone in Dallas thinks of him. There’s always a shortage of great QBs and teams will overpay to get a great QB.

You'll get no argument from me. But Miami isn't taking him since they already paid Tua. I'm just saying, if Dak wants money he would get in FA, which is probably 60M+, then Jerry has no reason to pay him sooner rather than later.

What I got was:

1. they want to keep Dak
2. There's a price limit
3. May be better to let him walk than overpay
1. They want him back.
2. Dak wants to test FA.
3. May be better for Dak to go to a better team.

Let them do it then.

Dallas needs to be concerned about winning championships and not paying the most they possibly can for a QB.

It is starting to sound like compensation has been agreed to, currently stuck on length of contract.

If Jerry was concerned about winning championships he would:
  • Hire a real NFL GM and stay away from all football matters
  • Stop undermining the head coach by hiring staff for them, putting gag orders on them, and constantly making head coaching decisions
  • Stop being the face of the franchise by constantly doing tv and radio interviews (the elite organizations have an owner and GM that are separate positions and they are rarely seen or heard)
  • Close the curtains for home games. We potentially lost a home playoff game a few years ago because our receiver lost the ball in the sun and the drive stalled at midfield all because Jerry loves the curtains open, evidently more than winning playoff games
  • Stop signing players your head coach doesn’t want, Zeke being a great example
  • The biggest lie in Cowboys nation is that Jerry wants to win at all costs. Winning finishes behind Jerry playing fantasy football with the Cowboys, closing business deals, call girls, and Johnny Walker Blue.
