I love Romo and I now believe it's his destiny to win us a SB.

But.... Sorry. I would take Brady... Rodgers.... Rothleisburger....

For one season only, I would take Rodgers and Brady over Romo. Ben would not look good in our system. In fact most QBs would not look as good in our system.

Tony Romo has made Jason Garrett look much smarter than he is.

Mike Fisher of CBS Dallas-Fort Worth passed along comments Jones made during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan's G-Bag Nation. He admitted if the Cowboys aren't able to win a championship with Romo under center it would be his "biggest disappointment having owned this team."
"He is a quarterback that can win Super Bowls. He is a franchise quarterback," Jones said. "I really would not. I really would not (trade him for any other quarterback) for what we've got ahead of us. He's who I want as opposed to a choice throughout the league."
Jones explained that Romo, when healthy, is starting to showcase the perfect storm of high-end ability and a firm understanding of how to lead an offense consistently. Romo ranks second among active quarterbacks in career passer rating, according to Pro Football Reference.
"It's not hyperbole, either," Jones said. "I really mean it. He's got skills and his ability to read defenses, his ability to read them impromptu, plus be able to obviously make some plays that aren't there. All of those things, plus his experience now, which we're seeing is that experience."

Love you Tony!

After what I have seen me either Jerry.

I don't think any other QB is put in more of a position to not have success than ours and he makes everyone around him better.

Well, I think if you asked any owner who has a top ten qb on whether they would rather have someone else they would all say no. Really can't say anything other then that if indeed you have a top ten QB.

I would take Rodgers simply because he's younger. I don't even think Rodgers right now is better than Romo. The thing about Romo is he's a bit of a late bloomer. Hard to blame him. He wasn't handed anything and had to earn his opportunities. That being said, he's always been a great QB but wasn't elite until about a year or two ago. And he's just getting better. For that reason, I think when he reaches his peak, he'll be better than Rodgers or Brady in their peak. It might only be a season, if that, but he's gonna be scary good.

here is a question not too crap on Tony because I see how valuable he is to our team with that being said for the sake of argument What compensation realistically could you get for a 35 year old QB with back issues

Romo is probably worth a 2nd round and a 5th or 6th round pick at this point in his career.

Not a lot of teams are going to invest a lot of draft picks in a guy who will be 36 before the start of next season not to mention the back and other assorted injuries the last couple of years.

Big Ben is chopped liver in your book?

What don't you like about his game?

Well, first off, the guy has been average to good up until about 2013 (His 2007 was a good year), this is also the same QB that lost against Tim freakin' Tebow and the Broncos in the 2011 playoffs. He's completely average in the post-season, here's his ratings: 57.8, 78.1, 148.7, 95.3, 124.9. 22.6, 79.2, 98.4, 84.8, 93.2, 101.8, 35.5, 77.4, 75.9, 79.3

His best playoff games came all the way back in 2005 just for him to play some of the worst quarterbacking I've ever seen in a Super Bowl. I put Roethlisberger a little above Eli Manning.

What I do like about Big Ben is he's with Rodgers and Romo when it comes to pocket passers with elusiveness. But living in PA and being forced to watch a lot of Steelers games in my day, this guy has gotten by with mediocre play for the good part of his career and I would not be surprised if he falls back to that. People forget how boring Steelers games used to be because of the lack of offense they had and their solid defense.

I only brought that up because when Jerry said he wouldn't take any other QB I thought to myself Jerry you don't have an option so you have to say that
