Not in exchange for Romo

A 1 for 1 for Luck? Ummm, yeah I'd do that in a tenth of a second. You're getting too caught up in Luck's bad start to this season.

Rodgers & Luck would be the only ones I'd trade him straight up for.

I wouldnt trade him for anyone either.

Rodgers and Brady require top notch head-coaches.

Theyd be steaming piles of crap having to play under JG.

Swap tony with either of them and its no telling how many superbowls in a row.

Thats why you cant trade Tony for anyone else...only Tony can deal with and overcome JG's stupidity

Mike Fisher of CBS Dallas-Fort Worth passed along comments Jones made during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan's G-Bag Nation. He admitted if the Cowboys aren't able to win a championship with Romo under center it would be his "biggest disappointment having owned this team."
"He is a quarterback that can win Super Bowls. He is a franchise quarterback," Jones said. "I really would not. I really would not (trade him for any other quarterback) for what we've got ahead of us. He's who I want as opposed to a choice throughout the league."
Jones explained that Romo, when healthy, is starting to showcase the perfect storm of high-end ability and a firm understanding of how to lead an offense consistently. Romo ranks second among active quarterbacks in career passer rating, according to Pro Football Reference.
"It's not hyperbole, either," Jones said. "I really mean it. He's got skills and his ability to read defenses, his ability to read them impromptu, plus be able to obviously make some plays that aren't there. All of those things, plus his experience now, which we're seeing is that experience."

Prob a bit over stated about JG and his stupidity but Romo has the ability to cover a multitude of sins for this team.

I still think Jerry messed up by Hiring Wade Phillips over Norv Turner. Norv and Romo would've been a great duo. Garrett didn't know what the hell he was doing back in those days calling plays.

He already hired Jason to run the offense. And the defense, with all the money invested in it to make it a 3-4, and it looking like garbage was why he went Wade.

Jerry's mistake was hiring Garrett period. Wade could have gotten a more experienced OC.

It was 13-3 his first year, with Sparano the primary OC and Sparano himself was sub-par as an OC.

What a wasted opportunity that was.

And yet we hear the Garrett Apologists always talking about how Jason inherited an old, over the hill roster devoid of any talent and has brilliantly over achieved with the hand he has been dealt.

Norv didn't want Garrett as the OC at the time and that was probably what killed the deal for him. He already had his staff that he wanted and Jerry had to promote Garrett to a higher position than he had at Miami in order to keep him. Norv would've been great for Romo's development at that time.

I no longer believe Romo has the physical health to make a season.Anyone with back problems/fusions are not the same.I know have a spouse that has this. I really am not sure he can hold up.I am not questioning his toughness or ability but to me the window closed last year and except for Murray we would have been done.He looks alot like Peyton these days.

That said you have to admit passing on Weedon and Manzel in the draft shows what a crapshoot the qb position can be.Wonder if we try to trade for our next qb.Everybody says draft one but Cleveland drafts ahead of us and it hasn't worked for them.Just saying..
