I admit. I'm rooting for this kid. I want to see someone learn something from the situation, maybe even take initiative and make amends in his own way to the family, after he gets his next contract in the NFL.

Initially, I incidentally posted a banned URL.

But I'll paraphrase. Basically, Jones said during the press conference at training camp that Kelvin Joseph has an opportunity with the team to paint his name in a negative light. That, he can grind and be a good teammate and allow his behavior and play going forward to show that the worst look at this isn't the real Kelvin Joseph, and that he has a chance with the team to turn it around, so . . . he should make the best of it.

We should all hope he’s able to “paint his name in a negative light.”

Whatever that means…

Uh-oh, another Jerry reclamation project incomming....

If you really pay attention, this guy isn't as dumb as people are pretending though.

Yes, he came from a tough background. Yeah, this dude has seen some trauma in his life. Even recently.

This kid didn't come from the same neighborhoods most of us came up in. I get it. It was stupid for him to be rolling with those guys in the first place. In the end, the investigation took place and it turns out, he wasn't the one who committed the crime. I know what Chris Carter said, but I don't think that's what happened here. I think his homies were legit dumb-arses leaching off his talent and fame, and they actually envied him to a point where they were willing to drag him down.

I could see that much myself, just from watching the video interactions with KJ and his pals that were taken before this happened. Dude is not dumb. But I don't think he's so smart he's somehow getting away with murder. If they have the two guys who did it, then he was just there at the wrong time, which could happen to literally anyone. I get it, there was a fight. But the two incidents were separate.

They're still going to get questioned about this. But it's hard to punish KJ for fighting when players do that on the field, and just get a 15 yarder. Seems unfair to me, but, I get it, we're the Cowboys.

One thing Jerry has, is a good heart. Gives many players chances when things go south outside of football. Hopefully Kelvin will respect that. Unlike spoiled pothead Randy Gregory who tossed everyone under the bus when leaving Dallas.

He the philosopher; sometimes it takes a few reads to figure out the wisdom of the belief, if any, sometimes, like this one, it's like what...???

Yes, probably not my most well-written post, for sure.

For the record, I originally posted an article link that was banned, but I edited it back out and paraphrased it before working on something else.

Look, we are all Cowboys fans here and we want him to succeed. This said, I believe he has a lot to prove. I wish him luck

I think you are right.

It truly sucks what happened. And that was the knock on him all along. So you just kind of have to ride it out and get the most out of it. And, yeah, he has an uphill climb for sure. But I would like to see him do it.

Anthony Brown is a good player, but I would like to see several of our other guys get some reps this year. Lots of good players back there.

Kelvin Joseph gave up a total of minus 2 receiving yards in his 1st NFL start...

If he gets through the last incident without getting a suspension, I wish him the best. I haven't heard very much about him performing well in camp, but I could have missed it. The CBs have a solid group, he's got his work cut out for him.

man you are dreaming there lol. I would be shocked if he did that.\
He makes millions per year now as 2nd rd pick so he could do it now if that was how he felt.

your assuming, the truth is we will never know what his actual involvement was.
We have heard nothing from the other guys in the car.
What I wonder is
Did he have a gun that nite too?????
Did he fire it that nite if so?
Did he ag the other guys on to do it, or approve of it?
Who is representing the 2 guys who turned themselves in? How are they paying for that?

For most part I doubt we ever know, but to assume he is totally innocent is not smart, and same for the opposite.

The only thing we actually know, is he was with guys who had guns, and they shot at some people they all fought with earlier, and hit and killed one of them.
I also think it is unlikely that he did not know they had guns on them that nite, and could not stop them from shooting at group of people.

Yeah, we don’t know any of that… like you said, either way.

We can assume the police investigators do though and they decided no charges should be put on Joseph… so that implies that he didn’t do much of what you wonder about.
