I admit. I'm rooting for this kid. I want to see someone learn something from the situation, maybe even take initiative and make amends in his own way to the family, after he gets his next contract in the NFL.

Initially, I incidentally posted a banned URL.

But I'll paraphrase. Basically, Jones said during the press conference at training camp that Kelvin Joseph has an opportunity with the team to paint his name in a negative light. That, he can grind and be a good teammate and allow his behavior and play going forward to show that the worst look at this isn't the real Kelvin Joseph, and that he has a chance with the team to turn it around, so . . . he should make the best of it.
He has an opportunity for sure.
I want to wait and see if he is suspended and if so for how long.

I know what you mean. It's tricky and we're all jaded from the past. I just really like how he plays, and he can help our team. So they should get this out of the way, imo. Who knows what happens, if anything. We still don't know all the specific details, just the basic ones.

Kelvin Joseph gave up a total of minus 2 receiving yards in his 1st NFL start...

Right.

But people will say that was against the trash WFTs. But look at his film. For the short time he came in, he was pretty good. Like, aggressive, could even play that tweener LBer role, almost (I said almost), because he's such a good tackler. Plays angry.

He needs to get the mental part down, and just tune in to the coaches.

I would never root for a cad who was linked to a driver by murder.
But you do.
Is this what we have become? Enablers to low-level thugs who swagger into a club, then leave and get into a fight and then fire away as they run like cowards?
Is this now part of our Cowboy lore? Sure, lower the bar, and soon we are the Raiders or worse.
You ga'head and root for this posse leader from Louisiana who orders his homie to shoot then snitches and runs for cover.
Pray at the altar of celebrity violence.

your assuming, the truth is we will never know what his actual involvement was.
We have heard nothing from the other guys in the car.
What I wonder is
Did he have a gun that nite too?????
Did he fire it that nite if so?
Did he ag the other guys on to do it, or approve of it?
Who is representing the 2 guys who turned themselves in? How are they paying for that?

For most part I doubt we ever know, but to assume he is totally innocent is not smart, and same for the opposite.

The only thing we actually know, is he was with guys who had guns, and they shot at some people they all fought with earlier, and hit and killed one of them.
I also think it is unlikely that he did not know they had guns on them that nite, and could not stop them from shooting at group of people.

If Joseph was already penciled in as our best DB on this roster and required to be starting first game of season, his suspension would be handed out just prior to first game of season.
The best thing this team can do for Joseph is report as little as possible about him..

Kelvin Joseph better be a starter sooner than later. He’s a 2nd round pick.

Just like Malik Hooker is a 1st round pick. I think we could have a really good secondary with Hooker, Diggs, Kearse and Joseph..

There is high potential roaming in this secondary.
When I see rooks like Bland at least keeping up, Im happy.
Going to have to find a way to stash players like Bland is my point I guess, this is a deeper back seven than we have had in years.

Agree. And same for the front seven!

That's why I think people are sleeping on this team.

Defense has potential to be sick, especially if Odighizua and Gallimore improve, maybe even Hill. I personally see guys like Watkins on the outs.

If we build this team to stop the run, anything is possible.

Im including the LBs when I say improved back seven, but its just a different way to look at it.
If you include the LBs in the DB back seven than we can focus on the front four.
We improve this DL and this defense becomes really good really fast, but I understand the criticism, but there has been some decent investment,
and sometimes young players in the trenches start developing an attitude, we need that desperately for this interior to mature.

He the philosopher; sometimes it takes a few reads to figure out the wisdom of the belief, if any, sometimes, like this one, it's like what...???

Reminds me of the Oracle at Delphi, high and speaking nonsense.

To be fair, they were kind of the Raiders, or worse when they were winning championships in the 90's.
Did you hate them then?

A lot of this stuff might come out in the trial.
