Pat Bowlen of Denver says hey.Kaika;3740731 said:Why are The Cowboys the only team that the owner comes out to say who's playing or not.
Oh yea, Because it's Jerry world.

I haven't heard Al talking roster recently, but if he does then it certainly isn't as isolated as being portrayed is it?Apollo Creed;3740743 said:So does Al Davis.
Jerry is joining some elite company.

Actually, I don't. That is the common perception and it is not accurate. I just don't fly off the handle at every little thing and I think this topic is beyond stupid. I don't know why that is so hard to grasp.Apollo Creed;3740754 said:Well contrary to popular belief, Al Davis actually died a few years ago. I've heard a few rumors, one is that he's just been cryogenically frozen and they let him thaw out on game days. And the other is that it's like weekend at bernies, but instead of hearing music to make him move - watching a ****ty football team gets him going.
All jokes aside, I know you got mad love for Jerry Hos. But he really shouldn't be doing stuff like this.

There is a double standard with regards to this team. If you want to be party to it, be my guest. I won't.
Look up my opinions on the Ring of Honor not having legends such as Drew Pearson, Harvey Martin, and others.Apollo Creed;3740763 said:Without engaging in a lengthy debate with you on the subject. I'll respectfully agree to disagree.
And I'm having a hard time of finding an instance of you saying one critical thing regarding Jerry Jones recently. So, you're playing it off well.

Look up my opinions about this.

It should be real clear that I am critical when I feel the need to be, and defend him when I think something is awry.
Whoop dee freaking doo.Apollo Creed;3740771 said:I'm talking about football operations.
It's common knowledge that he consistently spits in the face of the tradition of this franchise on a regular basis.

Let's talk about the spitting in the face of convention. No, let's not. It would paint him as a great owner and that is not allowed.Apollo Creed;3740777 said:You're such a bad ***.

Schooling me? By saying he can't recall one time when I've been critical of Jerry, then changing the parameters as soon as I provide 2 examples?T-RO;3740782 said:Apollo Creed is schooling you, Hos. You ain't no Rocky in this debate.
You've got to pick better horses, Hos, instead of broken down mules from Arkansas. All of America knows the story on Jones and find him laughable. Only a few wishful thinking Cowboy fans continue to drink the koolaid.

I'm 23 man, you've been able to enjoy your fair share of super bowls, great players, legendary moments, etc.
The only thing I've been able to enjoy was one playoff win, the rise of Romo, and living vicariously through the early 90s success by watching highlights and game tapes. But for 15 years, it's been one excuse after the other, as to why this team hasn't succeeded.
And Juke, please, send me that sig. All those coaches, players, drafts, etc - but there has been one common denominator.

The NFL deemed Reebok its official apparel. Jerry signed a deal with Nike. The NFL deemed Coca Cola was its official soft drink. Jerry signed a deal with Pepsi.
There are other examples, but the door this opened for franchises to make money independent of the NFL was revolutionary. It was spitting in the face of established patterns and it branded Jerry Jones as a maverick.
It also created wealth that has spread to the players.
It is a shame that you don't know about this stuff.
