As long as we don't sign him for more than a year or two and his salary is of the 6-8/season variety, fine. If we pay him over 10, we're stupid and will rue it.

Why don't we try finding a quarterback whoakes his receivers better instead of a receiver who moakes the quarterback better. For the 97th time.

Ok…but he’s still almost 31 with obviously declining skills, two major knee injuries, and a bigger past than his future. And all of those stats in 2021 were before his last knee surgery and while playing opposite Cooper Kupp who was drawing the majority of coverage attention.

He was declining workouts with teams this last Dec because he clearly was not ready to play. Maybe he’s ready to workout this spring. But again, I don’t see how his price tag is worth what we will receive. There is better talent at a much better price available.
And that is the rub he has to be able to demonstrate he has revovered from the surgeries. If he can though he is a talent.

Man I just don’t get the obsession with OBJ. He was once really good but when you look at his stats the last 3 years, he’s a big name with just ok numbers.

Last 3 seasons OBJ played- his stats are really unimpressive
  • Avg 38 receptions per season
  • Avg 4 TD receptions per season
  • Avg 12.4 yards per reception
These are the stats of an average possession receiver.
He will be 31 next season- not super old but has had 2 major knee surgeries and his stats show he’s not as explosive as he once was.

Makes zero sense to me to spend big money on an aging possession receiver whose biggest asset at this point is his past, not his future.
Odell's last ypt was 6.5, and had been sliding since 2018.
He's Zeke at WR, but also coming off serious injury and a year off.

yeah but how many jerseys can he sell !!!! lol
Jerry likes big names, he doesnt care if they can still play or not, or if they are a head case like obj.
If they sign him , it is a mistake.

If true, me lord, it would forever seal Jerald's fate as an idiot drawn to big name FAs.

Chaps, OBJ is not the answer. He's a hyped-up version of a Gallup or a Noah Brown. Too, chaps, OBJ is 31 come the 2023 fall.
And dunna get me started on the rebel's penchant for controversy. What about that, Jerald?

Receiver is not a major issue.
If you want a receiver grab a 6-5 guy who can out jump defenders, thats the guy who could help Dak.

OBJ will whining he's open and doesn't get the ball.
Book it

I'm right there with you Bob this has to be dementia talking unless it's a very VERY cap-friendly deal.

So, they're intent upon returning to being suckers for OBJ?! This FO must have a death wish . . . he'll take us nowhere.

Unless he comes dirt cheap I'm not seeing the appeal. Jerry is chasing prime OBJ while his past couple seasons haven't been impressive stat wise. Plus dudes has had what two major knee surgeries, broken ankle and etc

Let Cooper go to chase someone trending down, locker room headache, and injury prone. Makes no fn sense

Just means Jerry will give him a payday

Looks like he may be the team's high priced free agency signing. The "splash signing" the Jones boys believe will appease their detractors.
