Sign him. 2-3 year deal. 10-11 million a year. Try get rid of gallop. No idea his contract. Cut or trade him he’s not that good - slow and lazy routes. Focus draft on ol/cb/lb/dt.
Maybe if they could get Dak to pay 2/3 of that under the table.

Gallup will be better next year man. He was playing with pain all year. Got his knee cleaned up and will be much better. OBJ when he first tore his ACL, people don’t know but that was basically a failed surgery. He was never close to 100% . Him tearing his acl a 2nd time they actually fixed a lot of issues from the first surgery. Just don’t break the bank for the guy. Him coming to Dallas would be the perfect situation for him.

Man I just don’t get the obsession with OBJ. He was once really good but when you look at his stats the last 3 years, he’s a big name with just ok numbers.

Last 3 seasons OBJ played- his stats are really unimpressive
  • Avg 38 receptions per season
  • Avg 4 TD receptions per season
  • Avg 12.4 yards per reception
These are the stats of an average possession receiver.
He will be 31 next season- not super old but has had 2 major knee surgeries and his stats show he’s not as explosive as he once was.

Makes zero sense to me to spend big money on an aging possession receiver whose biggest asset at this point is his past, not his future.
73+23+44 = 140. 140/3 = 46.7 catches per season. That's with missing a half year in 2020

Plus you are discounting his playoff run with the Rams. 4 games - 21-288-2td - and that's with limited snaps in the final game because he tore his ACL

I figured this would be the route we go. Stephen isn’t trading premium draft picks for a Hopkins,Diggs, evans etc and paying them what they desire.

Quick, lets sign him, get the NFL suspension for a one year for his last incident, then cut him due to injury sustained during preseason 2024, after another airplane incident with police. We need more cap hits around here, say 5 million?

The further away from the ball a position is, the more it seems to appeal to Jerry and be worth it for him. Then you add a recognizable name to it and it’s golden. Can’t wait for the Jalen Ramsey rumors to start.

Maybe Daron Payne should change his number to the 80s to get Jerry’s attention.

Booger and Chuckles have me this far (thumb and index finger 1/64th inch apart) from just rooting for another team....maybe 48 years is enough.
lol, you do know that they have a good team?

You guys complain if they don't sign him and you complain if they do.

I think money can be better spent elsewhere and get a better return on investment. OBJ is not a difference maker anymore; age and injuries have made him elite no more and it appears he still wants to get paid like a #1 WR.

My fear is Jerry has taken a shine to OBJ and fancies the thought that he knows more than all the other GMs know about him and makes him a crazy offer…

If it is a choice between OBJ or Zeke I would take the former. The problem is OBJ wants a multi year deal similar to Gallup but both Gallup and OBJ would be a year from their injuries so the threasome of CeeDee, OBJ and Gallup would be tough to stop.

Wanted him for the playoff run, now I just feel like he is not worth the trouble.
