He said Barber could've and should've played today per The Ticket. Hmmmmm.

Doubtful it would've effected the outcome ,Tashard is basically a 22 year old rookie version of the 25 year old 4 year vet Barber.

Show us what Jerry said. This is most likely not true. I'm not going to believe it without audio and/or video or seeing the entire conversation.

I hardly think so. He doesn't run like Barber at all. Maybe in a year or so.

Running back was not an issue today. The guy standing in front of him was.

Ware is doubtful for the game per ESPN.

I doubt if Hitzges and crew have a reason to lie about it. Jerry needs to shut up publicly. If he's mad at Barber, he should tell him and no one else.

I disagree with Norm on this one....and agree with the former player....sometimes the brass DO use the media and I do think that Barber DOES need more mental toughness.....anybody notice that he does NOT do interviews? He gets too nervous per his own words....sorry, but you are on TV in front of the whole world....and "speaking" makes you nervous? Get over it.

Do I question his toughness? Not necessarily as it's his body and nobody else knows the pain that he may be going through......but I do agree that he does need more mental toughness as do most other reporters out there.

Exactly.

yeah it was Barbers choice not to play. he's no barbarian.
seriously! tashard did great but for marian to cop out on a big game like he did is really disappointing.

Wait. The media has never lied or twisted the truth to bias a story? No way.

Barber was not the reason we lost today, and I have a hard time believing Jerry thought that such that he would throw him under the bus.

Jerry Jones 'surprised' Marion Barber didn't play

Jerry Jones believed until the team boarded the plane without Marion Barber that his $45 million running back would play against the Steelers.

"He surprised me that he's not here playing," Jerry said in the locker room. "That surprises me."

Was the injury, a dislocated right pinkie toe, worse than originally diagnosed?

"No, it is not," Jerry said. "It is not. He can play with that injured toe. He can play with the soreness, combination of those things. I see nothing that would have led us to believe that he couldn't."

Tashard Choice said he knew after a Monday conversation with Barber that he'd start against the Steelers. That information apparently didn't get passed on to the owner until minutes before the team took off for Pittsburgh.

I don't even understand the point of bringing this up. It's not as if he would have done much better than Choice today. If we'd had terrible RB play all game that might make sense. So I don't think he was intentionally 'throwing him under the bus.'
