Jerry Jones threw Barber under the bus?

This ENTIRE YEAR has been one dramatic roller coaster ride, which started after choking in that Giants playoff game.

If we don't make the playoffs this year, then color me surprised. However-our draft picks have proven to be gems this year(looks like our post-Bill P drafts are coming along just fine-so have no worries with Jerry here), AND HOPEFULLY, after a VERY high profile year, we can enter next year with a LOW profile.:

I didn't say a word about drafting, I'm talking about his mouth.
The whole world knows he's the owner and is the GM. He really doesn't
need to stay in the press. He's a fools, fool.

I really think not being the "paper champion" in preseason is going to help next year.

For whatever reason, the team read its press clippings and thought the league was going to annoint them the champs and it showed on the field. We looked like a team "expecting to win" instead of a team "hungry to win".

There is a very big difference between the two.

I doubt that MBIII's absence had any effect on the game...if anything, Choice just earned the right to take 8-10 of his carries in the next game.

However, I find it pretty poor of MBIII to tell Choice on Monday that he'll be starting, if that's how it went...the guy should have been thinking positively and doing all he could to get on the field. Certainly he could have taken a shot to manage the discomfort...if he turned that down, if he was cleared by the medical staff to play and decided on his own not to make the trip, I don't like that one bit.

Even if he's just on the sideline as the backup so we don't have to activate Coleman, even if he doesn't play or only blocks...if he could take a shot and play, then he should have been there with his team mates.

While I was very impressed with Choice yesterday, yes, I feel Barber's presence hurt alot yesterday. Who knows? He could have closed out the 4th quarter for us when we were having success with the Steelers on the ground.

With that being said-there were many other reasons why we lost, so no excuses. And if it IS true that Barber decided himself that he didn't want to play despite getting clearance by the medical staff, then I've lost all respect for him.

I cant ever remember a single time Jerry ever "called out" or even made a disparaging remark about one of his players. I know Parcells has done it and I remember Jimmy taking a tough tone with "injured" players, but never once Jones. I suspect there's alot more to the story than just what was printed.

I do think in some ways Jones is frustrated that a few of the players he signed to bigtime extensions have not had stand-out seasons, and Barber would be one of those. He is a very good player but its quite possible he wont even reach 1000 yds for the season, and he has almost as many fumbles as TD's.

Once I knew barber wasn't going to play I predicted a Cowboys Loss.....If Barber would of played I would of predicted the Cowboys win,

that's how important it is, I'm disappointed in Barber...If that was Emmitt with a injury to his little Toe, I bet Emmitt would of numbed it, and played 4 quarters non-stop....that's why he's still the best.

As if we could've gotten more production out of our running back position.

Heck, the biggest play on offense all day was from Choice.

Oddly, WITHOUT Barber, we had a 13-3 lead in the 4th.

Actually, Romo was only sacked once BEFORE Holland got injured. So it seemed like Choice did very well in his blitz pickups.

It's true choice did play great, but Barber for sure would of
gotten that 1st down on the 4th down play....

Biggest play?

He was the best player on our entire offense all game.

Yah choice did have a great day but let me ask you guys this...you think the Steelers Def changed somewhat knowing that Barber wasn't going to play today.....you betcha! that's why you saw Choice get some good yards, they focused more on our passing game, pro why Romo got picked off so much...With barber in, they would of brought more heat to the line, I think we needed that, to take some heat off the Tight ends and slot rec......Even though Choice did great ..Barber would of been a better option...

barber it's all about how bad do you really want it.
