I got lambasted for saying the season was over a few days ago. Now, the biggest homer of them all basically agrees. But hey, I've read that games this early aren't "must-wins" on this board. Smh.

And it's just as silly today as it was when people were saying New Orleans was a must-win.

Guys who see this as a must-win do not believe this team can go 6-0 when Romo returns. If they did believe that, then they would understand that to win the division and make the playoffs, Dallas has to win (i.e., must win) at least two of its next five games. It would take some of the pressure off if the team could somehow go 3-2 during that stretch to be 5-5 when Romo returns. Then it's possible depending how the division shakes out that Dallas can afford to lose two games and make the playoffs at 9-7.

Must-win means you have to win it or you're done. Dallas is a long way from being done. The Cowboys do not get to must-win territory until it reaches six losses, possibly seven. Now, would it be better if Dallas had beaten NO? Certainly, but the argument that it was a must-win game is just as off as the argument that any of the next three are.

The premature panicking around here is tiring.

Welp, thats a kick in the head. Jerry usually optimistic. I fully agree with him though, they had to have that NO game. That will come back to haunt them.

Ok JJ. Reality has set in. Cassel may provide some W's, but I think you now realize that it's time to get the real Romo replacement in place as Weeden isn't it, and Cassel may not be around for more than 1-2 yrs, and has yet to prove himself with this team. Also, watch how Giants and Philly in particular target Cassel to
take him out, as they now know how to beat Weeden

Not that it was so easy before, but now it's even harder to say "oh yeah we shoiuld win this game and that game". Just no way to know what we're going to get out of Cassel and Michael. I heard they'll probably sit Leary in favor of Collins as well. We'll see. All I can do is hope that the Kraken destroys Eli early and evens the playing field a little.

Jerry should have started worrying when they decided to keep WeeDone on the roster and that somehow DMC would reach his "potential".
