Yes, he is.

He has expanded revenue, got a really friendly CBA, and inked multiple huge TV deals.

And it's all because of Roger Goodell right? i say whoever was in charge would have had the same results. the idea that Roger Goodell is the reason for this is a joke. you could have had Goodell's job and got the same results. the NFL seels itself.so stop it. no excuses for Jerry sucking up to this fool. im tired of it.

What he and his son could have done about that Dez catch, is throw a fit in public. they did neither. they acted like it was no big deal. his team got screwed out of a chance to go to the NFC championship game for the first time in 2 decades. and you heard almost nothing out of Jerry or his son. he did not fight for his players, coaches or franchise.

I disagee, Detroit probably feels they were screwed the week before on the pass interference flag pick up fiasco but their coach or owner was not on every TV station screaming "we got robbed".

Sometimes you get the call and sometimes you dont, but jumping up and down and screaming how unfair it is does not usually work to change anything.

Only problems Dallas has had have been self inflicted blaming Goodell is a joke.

Do you ever have anything positive to say? The rants and negatively are forming a pattern here.

Yea. wanting the owner to fight for his players, coaches, fans and franchise is so not good. give me a break. i am sick and tired of the cowboys getting screwed and Jerry not fighting back. you must be happy with it?

Context is important my friend.

"The bulk of that growth, however, occurred under Goodell’s predecessor, Paul Tagliabue. Since Goodell took over as commissioner in 2006, NFL franchises have risen in value by 32 percent, net of inflation, according to Forbes. That’s the lowest of the North American leagues by some margin. NHL franchises have increased in value by 114 percent, MLB franchises by 82 percent and NBA franchises by 65 percent over the same period (and Forbes is probably undervaluing the NBA, given recent franchise sale prices)."

"Broken down in terms of annual growth rates: NFL franchise values grew at an annualized rate of 11.7 percent from 1991 to 2006 under Tagliabue and just 3.5 percent per year since 2006 under Goodell."

Not true. the 10 million Dollar cap hit was not. and neither was the Dez catch. wake up man!

Goodell had nothing to do with Dez catch or non catch. That is just stupid to think the commissioner is making the rules. there is a group called the competition committee which make these rules

Here is their names
- Jeff Fisher (St. Louis Rams)
- Stephen Jones (Dallas Cowboys)
- Marvin Lewis (Cincinnati Bengals)
- John Mara (New York Giants)
- Mark Murphy (Green Bay Packers)
- Ozzie Newsome (Baltimore Ravens)
- Rick Smith (Houston Texans)
- Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh Steelers)

I'm wide awake man, you want to fault him fine but your anger is misdirected.

Did you read the whole thing?

"The modest rate of franchise value growth under Goodell has come from a very high baseline — and perhaps some decline in the rate of growth was inevitable given how prodigiously they grew under Tagliabue. In absolute dollar terms — not percentages — NFL franchise values have risen by a collective $10.9 billion since 2006, compared with $11 billion for baseball, $7.5 billion for the NBA and $6.6 billion for the NHL. The NFL is still a hugely profitable business, and even poorly run franchises tend to make money because of the league’s aggressive revenue sharing and relatively favorable contractual agreements with players. According to Forbes, only the Detroit Lions lost money in 2013, and the league’s 32 franchises earned a collective $1.7 billion in operating income."

I don't think you could put anyone in there and expect the league to grow.

What Goodell should have done is fire all involved in the Dez catch overturn. the fact that Dean Blandino and the others still have their jobs is on the fool Roger Goodell. sorry but you are wrong. Goodell sucks. Dez catch had nothing to do with rules. that's BS and you know it is.

he does not have that power, he is employed by the owners. You can say I'm wrong all you want I don't think so. I think you don't know what your talking about and lashing out using Goodell as the scapegoat. What was he going to fire these people for? following the rules as they were written? I did not like the call but if falls to the competition committee to change it and did they? NO they didn't.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Jerry/Garrett/Rant Zone.

They did not following the rules. rules had nothing to do with that BS. the outcry after the Lions flag pickp is the reason it happen. and those who did not have the guts to do the right thing, should have been fired by Goodell. and they all still have jobs. and are still lying about it.
