He is just trying to cover for his third son. Blame it on some alignment as if it was exotic and we have never seen it before forgetting the fact we've faced the Eagles twice already under Schwartz who uses wide nine concepts too.

He might be trying to sell it, but I wonder if he buys it at this point?

How many times does your "Chosen One" have to get pantsed before you realize he just might not be the guy you thought and hoped he was?

Jerry on Fan right now and says it’s laughable that people think they can take away his team and says people don’t know the league and how it works. Also says half the owners want input into how the contract is structured! Said straight out if he is backing off...”No and that’s all I need to say.” Says Goodell only worked 65% of current contract so they need to slow the train down and not rush into an extension. Also said there is no cease and desist but has talked with Blank

As for game he said Falcons D plays a wide 9 with ends on edge and they had trouble with it. Asked about blame and adjusting he just hemmed and hawed and said they needed to get better across the board
Thanks, TexasFrog!
Good post, and I'm glad to have read it.

Jerry hates firing or extending his staff when they are still under contract.

He doesn't value his coaching staff and he probably doesn't value the commissioner of the league.

Just hire a guy and make him play out his contract good or bad.

Yer' probably closer to the truth than most folks would even go off half cocked and consider.

How can our coaching staff not be familiar with the Wide nine? Its not like its some super secret defense or anything, been around forever. In fact one of the Eagles old DC's used to run it too, Jim Johnson. One of the ways to defeat the wide nine is to use a fullback and have him block the gap that is naturally created between our offensive tackle and the opponents defensive End. Our Offensive tackle basically allows the defensive End to take himself out of the play by rushing so wide that it naturally creates a huge lane between our tackle and their end. You send a lead blocker like a fullback into that lane to clean up the linebacker and the halfback should be able to take advantage and make some really good yardage. In fact,.... the right kind of running game can have HUGE success against the wide nine. IF you have a real coaching staff that is.

Didn't they make the DeBartolo's sell the 49er's? A much different situation and what was involved. But he still had to sell the team.
No, DeBartolo voluntarily ceded control of the 49ers to his sister Denise York for other parts of their family business after he pleaded guilty to bribery charges in an attempt to get a riverboat license.

Yes I knew there was things outside of the team. But also he was circumventing the salary cap. Paying players under the table, giving them other incentives like paying their rents or buying cars and such things like that in lieu of salary and not reporting it.

Someone might want to inform Jerry of the NBA Clippers and the MLB Dodgers where the owners were removed by the league and the team sold.....

Jerry hasn't said anything racist..........yet. McNair might want to watch out though.

Only one guy that should be the Don Vito Corleone of the NFL crime syndicate.... and it’s Jerry Jones!
Don’t need a Goodell.
